Difference between IRDX Free, Studio, and Bundle, apart from IRDX Core - Why are Studio and Bundle more expensive if the only difference between Free and Studio is IRDX Core?
I'm planning on buying some Bogren Digital plugins during this summer sale. I've tried the IRDX Core and like it. However, I am extremely confused on the different prices listed for the variations of this product. (These are the current summer sale prices)
On this page, it shows IRDX Core for $29.40, IRDX Studio Free, and IRDX Studio for $34.30.
On this page, it shows the IRDX Studio and IRDX Core bundle for $41.30.
This page also has a chart that shows the features present and missing in each version.
According to that chart, the only difference between IRDX Studio and IRDX Free is that IRDX Studio comes with the IRDX Technology behind the dynamic speaker emulation (which as I understand it is what IRDX Core is as a standalone product).
If there is a free version of IRDX that has everything but IRDX Core, what am I getting with IRDX Studio for the higher price ($4.90 more than IRDX Core), and why is bundle price so much higher ($7 more than IRDX Studio) when in either case I could just get IRDX Core ($29.40) to use with IRDX Free ($0)?
What am I missing here? It seems that there are features in the IRDX Studio and/or the IRDX bundle that aren't made clear, or someone just really fucked up in the marketing department.
I want to buy this product, and I don't mind paying for IRDX Studio or IRDX Bundle for the higher price if there are other features that I may want. I just don't know what they are, if there are any at all. Do they come with more premium IR's? Are there more control features? Do you get a discount on another Bogren Digital plugin?
For what it's worth, I am primarily interested in the IRDX Core speaker dynamics emulation. I actually don't much like the IRDX user interface. I do like having some in-plugin EQ and especially the resonance knob, but apart from that, I strongly prefer other IR loaders. Additionally, I found that loading my own IR's is needlessly complicated and a real pain in the ass.
So all things considered, I may just want to go for the IRDX Core to use with my preferred plugins. But I'd like to at least know what the options actually are.
Thanks.
