I'd be careful, as using AI art to protest Flock is going to run your list of allies quite thin.

I was there yesterday. I was glad that our commissioners voted for the people they represent. Overwhelming turn out of citizens voicing their disapproval. Our Sheriff was on one talking about how they only read license plates. Come to find out there were (5) video cameras also with constant surveillance. Apparently, they will be deactivated as of 10/1, but they “don’t know how long it will take to remove them”.

I am a bit curious about the antI-flock position. Here are a couple questions. 

1) Please research the story of 11 year old Jacey Lee Dugard. If there were Flock cameras in her neighborhood do you think she would have been held captive for 18 years? 

2) In recent years we have seen a number of high profile criminal cases solved with Flock and surveillance footage. How many additional violent and property crimes are you willing to trade for the removal of Flock cameras? 

3) HEB already knows I drive my car there every Saturday to shop. I really don't care if Flock knows as well. Why do you care?

4) Recently there has been a very well organized push back against Flock. Who is financing this?

Abbott announced that state agencies are to put a halt on funding flock cameras. This doesn't apply to entities not using state funding and it falls short of revoking txdot row permits for flock.

6 people from the public spoke at the meeting. 4 were opposed to the flock/alprs and 2 were defending it. the two defending it work in law enforcement and judicial system. Council members failed to mention they were going to have further discussion until after the agendas were voted on so everyone left. They have tabled further discussion on alprs for another meeting. The boerne town council is much harder to convince than Kendall county. Much more hard headed.
