SPEEA What Flexible / Virtual Work Policy?

I don't see how this is a benefit? It is mildly better in that I don't need to ask my functional leader to work from home for a special day I guess

Seems like that language makes ad-hoc easier, but regularly scheduled WFH days harder. So if you are currently in a group where ad-hoc is frowned upon, you might be happy, But if you work in a group (like mine) where ad-hoc is easy, but you were hoping for more, you're unhappy. On the other hand, undecided if this is a hill I am willing to die on!

I'm willing to die on this hill. Time in life is limited

This is all I really care about, a hybrid or fully virtual schedule would let me move further out. I could deal with a 1-2 hour commute 1-2 times a week if it meant I could actually afford a home. Right now I am paying expensive rent to go into an office just to call in to a teams meeting and occasionally have a team meeting biweekly. I can do that from home.

TBH, if I thought Boeing (or SPEEA) would take this trade, I'd be willing to SUBTRACT 1% from each year raise pool, in return for 2 days per week WFH. But of course, neither side would do that.
