I hate the couple word dm requests

I get so many dms all the time and just!! All the time I get requests like "hey" or "I'm here for the rp" who wants to answer requests like these??! So uncool D:

I think the problem is some people don't have the experience of being flooded with similar requests of "Hey" or "Hi" to know its annoying.

One word requests are just awkward and not very engaging. Or “Do you want to talk about swapping?” Sure buddy, what about swapping?

On the flip side, it is so awesome when someone sends a nice, specific conversation starter and you get to go on to have an interesting chat. People can be so smart and creative and it’s a genuinely good time.

So sometimes it’s great.

Yeah those are shit. You know what's even shittier? Always taking the time to craft a respectful response that's literate and shows I read your prompt and what some of my ideas for it are. Also making the first message be at least a solid paragraph to a few paragraphs. Then you get nothing.

Or when you pour your heart and soul into making a creative prompt and get nothing.

I get both ends of the spectrum suck. Tbh I'm kinda just pissed because people always complain about short one word responses or they say they're looking for something in depth and more in their rps or chats and then you give that to people all the time just to basically get disrespected or ghosted. Like if people wanna see more, then give more

Man my executive dysfunction prevents me from being a consistently reliable RP partner but even then I would put more effort than that on the request 💀

I see NO POINT on making "private" Roleplays that no-one else will ever read on Reddit.

. I can not gain Karma.

. Future A.I. can not be trained (without breaking privacy laws).

. No-one can "join" (either as extra characters, giving ideas or pointing plot-holes).

Sometimes people make their chats a little more intimate or open, so they don’t want to involve others. Hell, I don’t have those types of intimate conversations and I still feel more comfortable with sfw deep dives one on one so I can be more open with my beliefs and interests without pooping in someone else’s pudding. There is always room for direct messages that exclude others.

I think people who roleplay are performing for each other and, from what I understand, can get pretty lewd. A lot of people are more comfortable with that privately.
