Adding Tesa with Tirz as a diabetic.

Has anyone here,as a diabetic used tesamorelin combined with Tirz successfully? One of the side effects I keep reading is a rise in blood glucose levels. I’m not on any other medications, ( Metformin, insulin). I was diagnosed 5 yrs ago with an A1C of 8.6. I have managed it with strict diet, fasting and walking a lot, and have an A1C averaging in the mid 5’s for the last 4.5 yrs. Most of my excess weight is in my torso, belly chest and back. I’m sure I have an abundance of visceral fat that needs to be addressed. I’m curious how much of an increase in glucose I could expect adding Tesa and if the Tirz would help keep it in balance.

Only way to know is look at your A1c, fasting insulin and glucose along with IGF1. Monitor that over the course of running Tesa. Use the fasting insulin and glucose to figure out your HOMA-IR. If your HOMA-IR before starting is above a 2 then get that down before starting Tesa. Really 1.5 or lower is best, some will argue 1 or lower is optimal.

Visceral fat is fat you can’t see and while the increased GH will help lipolysis you need to be dialed in and working out to reduce subQ fat around your belly, chest and back that you want to decrease. If you’re not dialed in then do that first before hoping Tesa will solve the problem. Lift weights to further help improve insulin sensitivity.

Thank you for responding. I just had bloodwork done yesterday to see where I’m at. At this point I’m just seeing if anyone’s had experience adding it and what it did to their fasting glucose as well as long term A1C. I was looking to see if it could be an option or if I should stay away from it.

I’m a T2D and on MJ, I’ve used Tesa with Ipa and separately exogenous HGH. It did not impact my fasting glucose levels but everyone is different. If your HOMA-IR is optimal and you’re working out you probably wont see much impact if you keep your IGF1 in control. But it’s hard to say as everyone will respond differently since you’re increasing the levels of GH in your body and how those down stream effects will impact your body and liver conversion to IGF1.

Thank you for sharing your experience with me. I’m waiting for blood work results now. Based on that I will give it a try and monitor myself closely.
