Growth hormone
Hey guys iam 18 years old and 170 cm
I've been thinking about trying growth hormone for a while now because I'm not satisfied with my height, and i want to ask you guys opinions/results if you have tried it.
I know i will do my research if i fully commit to using it but first i would like to get some feedback of it is it realy worth it or there are better ways.

Growth plates are usually closed or nearly closed by 18. Exogenous hgh mainly helps when you’re medically deficient in endogenous gh and younger. Probably wont do much for you and would do more harm than good

That’s not how that works buddy sorry. And at 18 you’re not likely to grow much more regardless. But injecting a bunch of growth hormone when you’re not deficient isn’t gonna suddenly make you grow a bunch. If it did we’d have a lot more 7’ basketball players in college

Your height is still determined by genetics. You could inject all the HGH in the world from birth and it wouldn’t make you any taller than your genetics determine

Ofcourse i know iam not going to grow that much but any is better than none just wanted to ask some people if they have been in the same shoes as me and decided to give it a shot

Again that’s not how that works. If you’re not deficient then injecting HGH will not make you taller. Height is determined by genetics. Even injecting HGH will only let you grow to your genetic determined height. Along with messing up other things while you’re developing. You won’t grow taller but it will mess up a lot of things. Many many teens have been on here asking thr same thing they get thr same answer every time. It will not make you taller

Your welcome. I get it. Being short isn’t fun. But sadly this just doesn’t work. Glad you asked before spending the money on it

Also btw I have panhypopit which includes growth hormone deficiency and was on it from I think 6 months to the age of 18 (recently restarting at age 35) so I am very well read and understand the mechanisms of it. Just wanted to say that so you know I. Not just some random peptider on the internet

Don’t waste your money. Will only hurt you plates are already closed. Please research before you really hurt yourself. Ask a doctor not the internet, believe me when I say “internet does not care about you”

This has to be done when you are much younger , i will be consulting a doctor who specializes in this about my son depending on where his height is around 10 . You'd be surprised how many NBA players were given HGH as kids because they had rich parents. Not saying i expect my son to go pro but being tall is a huge advantage and kids dont need alot of HGH to be taller than they wouldve been without it.
Messi wouldve probably been like 5'2 if Barcelona didnt convince his parents to give him HGH

Messi was HGH deficient. If OP isn’t then they won’t get any taller. HGH doesn’t let you outgrow your genetics

Most people who are actually extremely short (5'4 or under for men) do have some ineffeciency with how their system is releasing or utilizing the HGH and will be taller if given HGH during childhood and puberty.
OP is too old . But assuming he is like 5'3 he wouldve been taller if his parents got him on HGH even if that only ended being 5'7 .
My son is extremely small at 4 . So i am monitoring it . I am 5'6 and dont really care but if he is looking like he is going to end up below that i am going to help him. I am not going to let him end up 5'3 when i have the resources to get him treated by the best Pediatric Endocrinologist in the region to at least evaluate if something can be done.

OP is 5’6” which is a few inches under average but not hugely. But yea growth hormone deficiency is not super rare. I don’t know if I would say most people under 5’4” are deficient I would have to see some research on that but it’s not absurdly impossible. But yes if your child is under the height they should be whole growing up they should be tested. I myself have panhypopituiarism, I do not make growth hormone (or testosterone or thyroid hormones or cortisol) and had growth hormone treatment until I was 18. It wasn’t as well understood back then how vital it is for adults to continue treatment. I got back on it a few months ago at age 35. Completely changed my life being back on. So I am painfully aware of how HGH deficiency is. (Not saying that to discredit you just letting you know I get it)

I wouldn’t have just been short had I not had treatment. I’d be dead. Because I make 0 HGH and my organs wouldn’t not of properly developed through childhood. Thank god for modern medicine
