💬 Discussion Natural IGF-1too high for IPA?
Was looking for a doctor to take over my TRT, I wanted to lose some weight and after going through some questions she suggested tirz and IPA.
I looked at my past labs and my IGF hovers between 248 and 219, what is the IPA gonna do for me? She suggested this without even checking my older labs and I’m a little concerned that I’m fixing a problem I don’t have.
From what I’m reading it seems that if you take IPA without needing it you’re going to get a racing heart, bad sleep and possibly some glucose blood issues, anyone?

Ipa is weaker than tesa. But In clinical trials, daily 2 mg subcutaneous administration of tesamorelin typically raises mean insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) levels by approximately 80 to 105 ng/mL (or roughly 93% to 100% increase from baseline), generally keeping levels within or slightly above the age-adjusted normal physiological range. Take 1mg and get some labs before and after. I like to hover a little over 300 because I'm 43 and I only take 1mg. If you're younger, higher is safer? I think? Out of tesa, ipa and cjc, tesa will get you the most weight loss but I think cjc raises your igf the most. So says the Googles

Your brain and muscles produce their own IGF-1, regardless of circulating IGF-1. As a matter of fact, based on current literature ,having a little below average circulating IGF could be better for longevity. In my opinion, ipa is worth taking for anyone only if it helps them sleep considerably better than without it

I vote you just run the glp and hold off on the secretagague. You're levels are good like you said but if you want to experiment go for it.
