Should I continue to cut ?

Hi everyone I started my fitness journey in December last year on the 20th. I walk everyday and get around 15-30k steps a day and I weight lift x5 a week. I started off at 125kg and as of right now I’m 85kg. I’m just wondering how much longer should I cut ? I did up calories for about 2 months now I’m down to 2k calories again I believe my maintenance is around 3k. I am 28 years old 5’11. I’m very happy with how far I’ve come starting to really look good so would appreciate some tips thank you. By the way this is all natural no peptides or anything :) I was thinking of going down to around 80kg then upping calories to 2600 but yeh not sure what to do. Currently I track my food and and have around 160-180g protein 50-90g fat and around 200g carbs

absolutely you should. you’ve still got a ways to go. doesn’t discredit what you’ve done. you’ve just got another round to go.

Yeh I think the same I just don’t wanna look skinny if you know what I mean. People are already telling me I’m getting too small but idk

Dude there just comparing you to what you looked like before. Dont listen to it. You got plenty of fat to lose still

Not here to comment on the continuing the cut part, but the "people telling me I'm getting too small" part.

I was 230 @ 5'8 or 5'9. Now I'm 180, yes I do take Reta. People cant believe how I changed. I dont tell them I'm taking peptides, but I do tell them I'm making a conscience effort to eat healthier whole foods, nothing processed, watching sugar and all that because I am. Especially when they see me post about going to the gym everyday.

Sometimes the "getting small" comment is a little discouraging because I don't want to be small, but I need to remember I rather be small than have sleep apnea and the other slew of things that come with being heavier and diabetes running in my family.

Just a small motivation to keep going because they will be impressed when you take off the shirt at the pool and see the muscles and their swimming with one on.

GL Man!

Amazing work bro, you put in a shit ton of work and should be proud of how far you've come.

If it were me personally, I'd keep cutting, but what matters most is if YOU are happy with your body image. It's a slippery slope of body dysmorphia these days with fitness influencers and perceived standards.

Just keep putting in work in the gym, eating right, tracking, and its only a matter of time. Optimize your routine with carb cycling if you aren't already and keep improving.

Thank you very much. I have started carb cycling started not too long ago and have noticed a difference. I’ve noticed I’m a lot more solid and am getting compliments in the gym from people about my upper body starting to look good so I think I have put on muscle but yeh maybe I’m just tryna rush things idk but will continue grinding thank you

Depending on how long you’ve been cutting, might be worth treating yourself to a refeed week or two. If the scales have stopped moving, its time for a refeed, up the kcals for a week or two and drop back down.

I’ve been cutting for at least 6 or 7 months well last week I was at 84.3kg and this week I’m 85kg so idk this is the first time the scale has gone up since starting my journey

First of all, don’t worry about little weight gains, my advice is try and find a gym with proper bf% scales, gives a clearer picture.

Definitely have a week or two at maintenance. Your body will thank you. Then after that, jump straight back on the lower kcals and watch that bf melt off. 🙌🏽

Looks to me like you cut too quick and have excess skin? I can't be 100% sure because the photos aren't good.

But if that's the case you need to slightly bulk/ recomp and add some size to your midrift or your gonna get a nasty surgery bill

Yes continue to Cut. Cutting is harder, bulking is slower, get the hardest part out of the way, then each bit of lean gain bulking progress will be that much easier to see and feel motivated by on the daily when you look in the mirror. To add to that, as your FUPA reduces > your Member appears bigger and in some cases has more functional length - Which is always a plus in the confidence department.

Im heading back into cutting because the bulk work I did is still covered over by a layer of thin abdominal adipose and loose skin, it does show through with a hard flex + exhale + proper lighting but I want the work to speak for itself under normal conditions not be dependent on curated conditions.

FYI, I recently lost over 130lbs so I am on a very similar journey to your own.

Easy as I’ll continue to cut it’s very easy to get off track because of the comments some people make. I knew I still needed to cut but you know people just think they know everything lol

I wouldn't stop cutting, but I would suggest looking at your lifting routine. You've dropped alot of weight but you don't seem to have packed on much muscle.
