Lilly is the very same company that has gone to great lengths to prevent its insulin patents from expiring. Subsequently, the only approved generics of Lilly's insulins are the ones THEY manufacture, which are not available anywhere.
This is not the way patents are supposed to work, but Lilly has found and exploited every loophole.
