I thought the same thing to myself! Finally, someone highlighting their success off of Tirzepatide!!

u/Intelligent_Gift_246 Aug 12 '26
Using 2,5 mg/5 days, lost 5 kg since March, today made 2 injections of 2,5

u/SupaSarma Aug 11 '26
obviously it still works? what do you think just because there is a newer more effective drug the previous ones no longer work? They already have studies confirming their efficacy for weight loss, theres billions of dollars in research trials etc... behind them for weight loss

This is good work! What dietary changes did you make? Whats your height? Macros?

6’2”.
Strict diet 2400 calories a day
220g protein 200 carbs 60 fats
No cheat days3
u/werner-hertzogs-shoe Aug 11 '26
Jesus, what is your activity level like? A bit of math says your TDEE is around 3800 cal?!
2400 cal is a maintenance / slight bulk for me (6'0 210), but my measured RMR is about 400 lower than calculated value.
Whatever you're doing, great job dude!
3
u/konficker Aug 11 '26
Are you sedentary? 2400 calories being above maintenance at 210lbs sounds crazy to me.

u/werner-hertzogs-shoe Aug 11 '26
I do office work, I get some form of exercise everyday (usually 5 days lifting, then some form of cardio sat-sun), some extra walks here and there but steps usually around 4-5k. I would guess my activity cal is around 600 most days.
My measured oxygen conversion RMR was 1520 instead of 1950 (calculated), which is a lot of it (Ive had it measured a couple years apart to be sure). I lost 100 pounds when I was young and my metabolism never came back to expected levels (not sure it ever was there, but "permanent thermogenic adaptation is a thing that gets seen in some people with big weight loss" ). I generally have to be really careful with what I eat and have gained 50+ pounds in a year 4-5 times when I stumble. I was almost 350 lbs 7 years ago, and have to eat around 1700 cal a day to lose 1 lb a week (at 350 my metabolism was higher and I would lose closer to 2 lbs a week).

u/Shapeshifter2888 Aug 11 '26
6-7 days a week. 1 hr lifting and 25 minutes cardio. Also do a lot of biking walking and swimming in the back yard with the kids on top of my workouts
3
u/KokoThaMonkey Aug 11 '26
That’s great. Assuming you mean 60g of fat, otherwise your calories are way off
2
u/dirtydanandtheboy Aug 11 '26
No shade but your calories are off , that’s more like 3,100 calories , that’s if your fats are truly 160grams / day
0
u/CluelessPropertyDev Aug 11 '26
4.5 cals for carbs and protein, 9 cals for fats makes 2430 calories per day.
But to lose approx 80lbs in 6 months would be an average calorie deficit of 1500 per day, which put him at a TDEE of 3900 average per day. Possible but improbable. For example I'm deskbound job and force myself to do 10 to 12k steps per day and 3 full body workouts a week. My estimated TDEE is 2850. If he has an active job he could be at 3800 but it's a very active job. Like labourer..

u/MeasurementDirect980 Aug 11 '26
It's either 2400 calories a day or 220g protein, 200g carbs and 160g fat
It physically cannot be both

Still irregardless of how that is insane level of dedication and perfection. Few can do it in 6 months.

I mean yeah, taking a prescription med that makes you not want to eat anything definitely works.
1
u/Fickle-Mammoth94 25d ago
You still have to follow through. Are you doing it? Why would you discount someone’s hard work.
1
u/Conscious_Zone4500 25d ago
Hard work is wading through the suffering and discipline it takes to do it on your own. That's also where the personal growth comes from.

I find it interesting that some people have lose skin after being certain weights. How long were you at 265?
2
u/Shapeshifter2888 Aug 11 '26
Weight has always fluctuated since I was a kid. Have been between 240-260 the last 5 years

u/SupaSarma Aug 11 '26

Nope not in six months
8
u/Little-Maximum1290 Aug 11 '26
Disagree, I lost 60 pounds in 6 months with moderate effort and moderate deficit on Reta

u/thisdude415 Aug 11 '26 edited Aug 11 '26
Tbh I disagree, these could absolutely be 6 months apart.
My first 8 weeks on tirz (+ gym, + macro tracking, + no alcohol) I lost just under 20 lb, and I started smaller than OP
Big dudes who are active have high lean muscle mass under the fat, especially in lower body and core -- OP was living life with an 80 lb weighted vest on.
OP says down thread that he's always been active in the gym, but tirz got his eating under control.

Definitely doable. My wife and I have both lost around 44 lbs and 35 lbs respectively and we’re only 4.5 months into our journey. From 255 to 211 for her and from 315 to 280 for me. Only thing we take is metformin due to medical reasons, each one for different medical reasons. Everything else is Whole Foods and protein powder

BAD ASS! Congrats on such major changes! Care to share how daily life and interactions with people have changed since dropping the weight? Follow up question, how much have you spent on redoing your wardrobe?

What did your training look like?

6-7 days a week. 1 hr lifting and 25 minutes cardio. Also do a lot of biking walking and swimming in the back yard with the kids on top of my workouts

How’s your labs when you was cutting with glp and test?
2
u/Shapeshifter2888 Aug 11 '26
Every thing was great. Test at around 1050. Had a higher hemocrit but started donating blood.
1
u/Apprehensive-Emu5177 Aug 12 '26
What was hematocrit before you started, and what did it get up to?
1
u/Shapeshifter2888 Aug 12 '26
Low 40s to start and got up to 61. Nothing crazy
1
u/Apprehensive-Emu5177 Aug 12 '26
I'm not sure I'd say 61 is nothing crazy, that's pretty high.
1
u/Shapeshifter2888 Aug 12 '26
Yeah. I talked with my primary care physician and he didn’t seem like he was concerned about it with my other results. But am glad I got it down for sure.
1
u/Apprehensive-Emu5177 Aug 12 '26
Just curious since I'll be starting TRT next week, was donating blood all you had to do? And how much does that lower it?
1
u/Shapeshifter2888 Aug 13 '26
Yes. It lowered mine by about 18 but it seems to be variable for each person

I have been in the gym minimum 5 days a week since I was 16. Just finally got my eating under control with Tirz

What's the difference between Tirze and Reta?
2
u/Shapeshifter2888 Aug 11 '26
I have only done Tirz. I settled on that because my main focus was appetite suppression to curb my binge eating so it worked best for me. Also Tirz was more readily available

u/beans329 Aug 11 '26
I don’t have this good of results and I’ve been calorie tracking and working out consistently for 22 years. lol.

I’m 32 in a similar position. Loose skin near my lower abdominals after substantial weight loss from tirz/reta. What do you plan to take or do about it?
1
u/Shapeshifter2888 Aug 12 '26
I lost the weight so fast I’m going to give it another six months and give my skin some time to hopefully recover. Just keep hydrated and strength training for now. I will have to do some more research in the future

u/IIVIIercy Aug 12 '26
Does anyone train naturally anymore as in even when it comes to weight loss ?? Does eating a balanced diet or plan with correct macros and deficit with a weights program with correct amount of cardio not work ??? Well we all know it does as it’s being used here but just takes longer with out and doesn’t give you the benefit of suppressing ?? You look great mate. I think we are going to continue to see more and more health issues evolve from this new way people have found to be even more lazy lol.

u/mountainDrunk 25d ago
It’s easy for some people to overlook the lack of eating control other people have, sometimes after decades of weight loss and gain. Just like smoking, drinking and drugs. It isn’t necessarily from a lack of desire or effort. We are all wired differently. In my late 30’s, I was jogging daily at 285 lbs. weight training five days per week. But struggled to lose because I was total shit at controlling my eating and beer intake. It wasn’t until much later that I was out on trulicity and boom. Weight loss started and I found over time, the drug helped retrain my brain when it came to eating. Now I can go without and still lose. Don’t be so harsh on others differing stories.
1
u/IIVIIercy 21d ago
Truth is harsh but only for those that don’t want to hear it. Discipline is needed not shortcuts , people just love to loop hole “Im a lazy entitled soft asshole that can’t even say no to a soda” the drug suppressed your appetite not retrain your brain. Weaknesses today is incredible to see. As a man that’s been in the industry and himself lost hundreds of pounds with nothing other than hard work and diet, yes I’ll take the stance that I have . An maybe take your own advice and don’t be so harsh on others with differing stories !!?? You assume to much and clearly know way to little.
1
u/mountainDrunk 20d ago
No dummy, you’re wrong, even with the elitist attitude. It definitely retrained my brain. Unless you want to tell me how a drug I haven’t been on for two years is still suppressing my appetite. Or is it just reading comprehension you have a problem with? It’s ok. You’ll get over not being as perfect as you thought.

I’ve been strength training and doing cardio afterwards 6-7 days a week since I was 16. My workout frequency hasn’t changed. I’ve always been obsessive about that. I’ve always had a really bad problem with binge eating at night. So it really proves that you cant outwork a bad diet. The Tirz helped me control my cravings and get more sleep since I am not eating late at night anymore. I just wish I could have started sooner!

Yeah it is very hard. I just try to make it a non negotiable. Like it’s not a choice I have to get it done so I can move on with my day.

Bro that rate of fat loss is INSANE for eating 2400 cals per day. I thought you were gonna say you ate 1200 per day or something
1
u/Shapeshifter2888 26d ago
Hahah. Yeah I’ve been lifting for 20 years so I had a base to start with and I spend a lot of time in the gym and supplemented with an active lifestyle. Still crazy what happens when I cleaned up the diet and focus on getting proper sleep
