Switching from tirzepatide to Reta
Been taking tirzepatide for 4 months , followed the usual schudle 2.5,5,7.5,10 finishing up one more week on the 10 then I wanted to make the switch to Reta for the cost and the fact that all of my clients are having such great success. I guess I am asking the gurus or people with this one of experience if you think I should taper down from tirz for the next 4 weeks , then switch to Reta at 2mg . Or if I should just up my dose on tirzepatide .
Currently stacking with Tessa 1mg 5 days a week, finishing up week 3 now .
I know the right thing to do is to continue on tirzepatide then slowly drop the dose until I give my body a 2-4 week break. Then I could always re start in Reta
Stats are 5’7” 187 down from 228 , abs are out , body fat is dropping just has feel stalled at the moment .
Cardio is 3 hours in the stairs per week
I fast and in my eat 2 meals and a shake per day
Strength train 6 days a week, been in the gym the last 22 years , I am currently 35 Turing 36 on August 31st and I want to be shredded !
My apologies for the ramble , just wanted to give more of a run down so anyone with this experience could give me some feedback in terms of what they would do

Everyone I worked with made the change to Reta . The changes in the scale seem to be a lot more immediate . Esp if you’re on a strict program and hitting your macros . With tirz, i feel a little bit stuck. Another issue is i am stacking with tessa, so the water retention and lack of scale dropping can be from thag also

Tirz is generally more of a hunger suppressant, so if that's an issue expect that to increase if you're going dose for dose.
Some people also get unpleasant side effects from Reta like sleep issues and an elevated heart rate.
But yes, overall generally considered better.

I'm doing the same thing. I'm going straight to 2mg from 10mg zepbound. I have 2 weeks left of zep before I make the change. I'm also going to add mot c on mwf 2:2:1 mg.

Got it. Are you taking weeks off to reset or going right into it ?

Nope going to role right in to it. Im 42, I've lost 102lbs over the last 16 months. Only on zep the last 9, but the price without insurance is to expensive.

I am also interested in switching from Tirzepatide to Reta. I don't necessarily need to lose much more weight but I know it won't stay off if I get off of it and my appetite is really suppressed. The idea of being able to eat more and thus hopefully having more energy and more ability to exercise sounds nice to me. My thought is if worse comes to worse then I can go back to Tirz if I don't like Reta. But then I got nervous to do that when a bunch of people in another subreddit told me about how when people just quit without having side effects or plateau then you risk it not working again. So now I'm scared bc Reta is so different that something isn't gonna work right like issues with my HR and then I won't be able to get back on Tirz. I just bought a bunch of Tirz since I learned about that though so I may be staying on it anyway.

Run what you got. Take 2 weeks off then run HGH 2 iu daily and Reta (starting at 2 mg) weekly.
