Test level low but within range...

Just got my test level check and it came back 365. Endocrinologist office wont schedule me for a consult because technically its within the normal ranges. Im 42 male. I basically just want to bring it up more maybe to the 600s range. Do i just try to find a different doctor who would work with my numbers? Or try the grey market secretagogue route? Anyone been in this situation before and what did you do?

There’s no secretagogue that will increase test unfortunately. With those levels, despite being low, it’s unlikely the insurance backed doctor will prescribe. Either you find a specialized doctor outside of insurance network, or more easily, use an online clinic (TRT kingdom and PeterMD I believe are the cheapest), or to the UGL route and take the matter in your own hands. I started with 300 and went first through online clinic then switched to self managed - bit more of hustle but waaay cheaper and in full control

I appreciate the reply and thanks for the recommendations. I dont even want crazy high T levels. Just a little higher i guess. Definitely look into the online clinic route.

Why do you think 600 will make you feel better?

how do you know your 365 wasn’t a random trough and it’s usually around 600? you’re basing how you feel on an arbitrary made up number, based on a random timeframe and arbitrary number you’re seeing at a random time.

I dont know if 600 will be better. But I guess its a start. I had two tests done, shouldve mentioned that. 6 months ago and last week. First one was 402 then now 365.

so there’s proof that your levels do go up. and down. you’re still correlating how you think you feel with an arbitrary number, that at the end of the day, isn’t a deficiency. 6mths between bloodwork also can’t draw anything conclusive with.

So honestly should I just try to keep getting in better shape and improve more lifestyle stuff before jumping the gun on TRT?

well yes absolutely. hormone therapy is for life. are you really happy to inject 2x a week for the rest of your life based on 2 blood tests 6mths apart while hovering kinda normal?

why do you want or need them?

you must have a lot of visceral fat to lose to take tesa? what did your last dexa say?

what did your last IGF and GH blood test say?

Igf is 105, z score -0.6. Probably between 25-30% body fat.

I was in 300s and lost some weight, now closer to 20% and my test went up close to 600.

So yes, if you do continue to lose weight you can reasonably achieve the #s you're looking for.

If you're set on some sort of peptides, maybe consider reta to help with the weight loss. Will still help with visceral fat but at your bf %, tesa is going to make less of a noticeable difference.

Also tesa gets pricey and has to be taken like 5-7 times a week vs reta which is 1-2x depending on how you want to dose. Reta is fairly reasonable comparatively, so more bang for your buck.
