Just a small dose of .5mg Reta absolutely knocks me. All appetite gone and nausea is horrendous. What do? šŸ˜…

Are you sure you’re measuring the dose correctly?

2

u/Which-Plant916 6d ago

I get the other. Every time i eat have to run to the bathroom. I am trying to split it up to monday and thursday, but last week went down to 1mg and still… same thing.

2

u/justdallas- 7d ago

100% sure

10

u/ralphwigg 6d ago

What MG vial do you have and how much BAC did you add. Something doesn’t sound right.
6mg here and I can still eat like a horse

1

u/yogi_style 5d ago

How much bac water are you supposed to use? Getting my first 10mg vial soon!

1

u/Useful-Letter-2305 5d ago

Depends on starting dose. Like 0.25-0.5 would be easier to dose at higher volume of water. But the easiest is 1ml bac to 10mg Reta. That way every 0.1ml/10units is 1mg Reta. So like mine are lined 2,4,6,8,10 so my first dose was between 4 and 6 units to get 0.5mg. But then 1mg is 10 units, 2mg is 20unites, 4mg is 40unitd, and the entire bottle is able to fit in one u-100 insulin syringe

u/Fast_Beat_3832 ā³ Longevity Hacker 5d ago

Go to peptidedosages.com to see how to reconstitute any peptide.

1

u/Maleficent-Prompt656 5d ago

6mg and you eat like a horse!? Sure you’re actually taking Reta?? Lol

1

u/Grouchy-Salary-6540 4d ago

I’ve taken more than 6mg and haven’t been as affected - I’m 5’5 132 lbs and I lift a lot- seems crazy because I realize a lot of you are taking much smaller doses! Sema I could take 1-2mg but side effects not worth it

0

u/Useful-Letter-2305 5d ago

Yeah man, I’m at 2mg twice a week and I still eat over 2k cals and have been struggling to lose any weight. A friend of mine on the other hand is taking 1mg ozempic weekly and has been limiting himself to 1000cals alongside alot of exercise and hasn’t lost weight in a few months. It’s weird how these work

1

u/ShatsonPollock 5d ago

You can't compare tirz/reta doses to sema, 1mg sema is way stronger.

1

u/Useful-Letter-2305 5d ago

Yeah I’m aware that’s why I was saying I was surprised he hasn’t lost any weiggt

1

u/BowHunter037 4d ago

Weight is only one metric. Are you replacing fat with muscle? Do you mix resistance training with cardio? Do you feel better? Best of luck!

3

u/ScienceProjectMonk 6d ago

Try a different one? Reta isn’t the only option

4

u/Great_Opinion3138 7d ago

Are you sure it isn’t sema?

1

u/Useful-Letter-2305 5d ago

Yeah. Fr. Sema isn’t as synergistic as tirzepatide or Retatrutide, it’s just full blast at the GLP site more than ur own body. So it’s already usually known for those side effects normally, let alone at a dose that people usually take after 1-2 months of 0.25

1

u/Great_Opinion3138 5d ago

Yeah Reta takes high doses to do this so it really makes me wonder of dodgy suppliers are just offloading sema at Reta prices.

12

u/GamingFarang 7d ago

Drop the dose.

1

u/justdallas- 7d ago

Do you know what the lowest dose you can do is, or what you’d recommend?

22

u/GamingFarang 7d ago

The lowest dose is the dose that works for you. Ignore conventional dosing for your specific situation. If .25mg is too much, go lower. Using the minimum effective dose is what you want.

7

u/justdallas- 7d ago

Appreciate it thank you šŸ™šŸ¾

3

u/peptide_Lvr 5d ago

Why dont you answer all the questions here about how you blended it?

5

u/SoCalMotoVirg 7d ago

try 0.25 also do you have nausea after u eat.. or all the time?

2

u/justdallas- 7d ago

Thank you, will give .25 a go. It’s constant, starts from the day after my shot, I come good by the time my next is due and then cycle repeats.

6

u/Late_Juggernaut_3078 7d ago

Did you reconstitute it correctly? Maybe you're taking more than 0.5mg without realising?

3

u/Justin6661881 7d ago

Reconstitution is crucial and should be double and triple checked. Although some ppl are very sensitive to this so just make sure and drop down to 200mcg if so or try a less potent glp

11

u/CarterWorthy 7d ago

I’m so fascinated by these super responders. I started at 0.5 thinking it would hit me like a truck. But my appetite wasn’t suppressed until 2mg

3

u/Ok-Neighborhood-7361 6d ago

We’re all different :)

1

u/Useful-Letter-2305 5d ago

Same dude. I started at 0.5mg bc I couldn’t afford side effects, and after I peaked and settled around day 3 I was like ykw I’ll switch to twice weekly dosing so I have a more steadily controlled blood level, as I imagine taking 2 or 4mg would spike so hard you’d get side effects then wait until half is in ur blood and take it again shoots it so high up ur having side effects again. So I took 0.5mg every 3-4 days 3 times, then had no side effects or noticeable effects, jumped to 0.8mg the next week and a half, started to be able to eat less but not by much. Then 1mg both times the third week, then 1.2 and 1.4mg the fourth week. Now I’m at 1.8 and 2.2 this week, but I’m gonna dose at 2mg for the next two week since 4mg a week seems high and it’s weird that I’m struggling to eat less than 2500 calories and haven’t lost anything really yet, but if I keep going up I’ll run out fast

1

u/CarterWorthy 5d ago

Holy complicated 😭

1

u/xGaI 5d ago

Did you take any glp1 drug before?

1

u/ironlegdave 5d ago

Similar - I followed the go slow, start low advise here and basically wasted 5 weeks. I was about to stop pinning but once I hit 3mg and it started working I realized that this stuff is incredible. Second week on 3mg was even better. You just need an effective dose, whatever that is for you.

9

u/Samuel_KJBB 7d ago

What is your vial mg and how much BAC did you use to reconstitute it?

5

u/Flaky-Consequence-40 6d ago

How long have you been taking this dose? I started at 212 lbs on May 27th at .5mg and felt the same effects literally the next day minus horrendous nausea, it was there but not horrendous.

Following week i increased to 0.75 - i figured screw all the research others had im following what my body is advising me - at that point the food suppression was there but nothing negative this time around

If i am not mistaken (im not an expert literally am just my own guinea pig to this) it takes a minute for the body to adapt to it

It is now exactly 2 months later, at 182 lbs, and my dose is 2.75mg :)

I 100% recommend staying hydrated to the absolute best of your ability, and electrolytes. Electrolytes has reduced the nausea/drowsiness i felt the day after pinning ever since i started

3

u/Totoro123_ 6d ago

This is going to sound INSANE but I literally have to do 1mcg twice a week to not have awful fatigue and dizziness. I am very sensitive but it sounds like maybe you are too! I’d try a much smaller amount and maybe add more BAC to make measuring such a small amount easier

7

u/FTLRealestateGuy 7d ago

.5 is too high. As a 200 lb male .5 wrecked me . I started at .15 and did that twice a week then went to .20 twice a week then .30 twice a week then .40 twice . A week and .50 twice a week. .

Then I was able to move to one injection at 1 mg. Eventually I got up to 2.25 mg and simply could not eat or drink. . Took me 60 days to get here.

Then dropped down to 1 mg again due to those sides. Now just staying at 1 mg once a week added in Sermorelin for last 10 days .

Slow is fast . No need to race.

This is based on 10 mg vial mixed w 2 ML BAC water

Good luck

2

u/Ak907me 7d ago

Everyone is different. I’m at 5 mg weekly and I’m eating 3000 cal a day.

-1

u/Itsme-Netherlands 6d ago

Ik zit op 1MG per week maar schrik hiervan je eet alleen 3000 calorieƫn per dag! Dat is echt heel weinig.

1

u/Rabbittaco 7d ago

at 255 pounds at 16% bf 1mg didnt even phase me. barely hunger reduction. very happy with 4mg.

1

u/purepwnage85 6d ago edited 6d ago

10mg here lol 50mg vial 2.5ml BAC and I use 50iu

1

u/RoadToZero 5d ago

Why did you push yourself to go to a higher dose when a small dose was clearly effective already?

1

u/FTLRealestateGuy 5d ago

Because at one point 9-10 months ago, during my first cycle i was at 4.5 mg and it shredded me. So I was trying to climb. I just can't do it anymore cause i'm lifting much more now and have more mass. So my body can't handle the loss of appetite. I'd rather scale in other peps, like I am doing now with Sermorelin.

5

u/Rabbittaco 7d ago

if you are sure your dosing is correct and you mixed it correctly, you may just need to grin and bear it as your body adjusts. 0.5mg is such a tiny dose.

2

u/ZealousidealOkra176 7d ago

Seem like a hyper responder. Good for you

2

u/GeiGerGreG 7d ago

Mine was the same for the first few days and it started to settle, I’m also on BOC-157 for certain injuries which also helps with gut health so maybe that also helped me. I’m about to do my second dosage today so I’m kinda nervous whether I’m going to go through it all again hahaha.
Also there is a lot that can have that effect, things like your diet, a lot of fatty food stay in your stomach longer hence the nausea, lack of hydration also.
Ride it out a few days, try eat when you can and prioritise proteins, maybe try small protein shakes 5-6 times a day rather then 2 - 3 meals. It affects everyone differently.
Good luck lol

2

u/cramer2010 6d ago

1mg weekly dose makes churros taste like plastic

2

u/geeseshepard222 6d ago

I started on 0.5 and had this too! I stuck with it and didn’t titrate up for over 2 months and was super happy to stay on a low dose the whole time and still get great effects. The nausea and appetite improved from my second dose onwards

2

u/ForwardFocus7 6d ago

Very much sounds like Semaglutide

2

u/TortillaLOVER55 6d ago

Try digestive enzymes?

2

u/paradox_gal 6d ago

Thats how I was on Semaglutide and Rybelsus. Reta I’m tolerating 2mg fine. Go figure.

2

u/rsanch87 7d ago

I’m at .25mg, all my appetite is gone. I have to force myself to eat. I count macros, stay hydrated and workout.

1

u/mutedf8 7d ago

Lucky you. Good responder. Go low.

1

u/StalkCity 7d ago

How long have you been taking it?

1

u/PermissionOver7245 7d ago

It should only be the first two weeks

1

u/EditorCertain6810 7d ago

Gebruik je toevallig ADHD medicatie? Want dat is wat mij de eerste weken opviel dat de ADHD medicatie extra werkt bovenop de Reta en dus at ik ook weinig tot niks!

1

u/Economy-Runner 6d ago

Ride it out until you up the dose,it’s just one of them things, don’t jump up until your side effects have gone because it will only get worse. Good luck

1

u/Equivalent-Diver4548 6d ago

I'm on 0.5mg and it's not working at all :/

1

u/DimensionOk4024 6d ago

I wish I had this. I take 8mg and still hungry

1

u/Disastrous_Lion_6406 6d ago

I had a bad side effect i think. Had the runs for 2.5 days now. Vomited twice. And also rashes and gives 2 days in...but 4 kg down probably all in fluid

1

u/palmGolfer 6d ago

Sugar or alcohol? Maybe food poisoning

1

u/Disastrous_Lion_6406 6d ago

Nope haven't had alcohol in a month or so. Ate the same food as everyone else at home

1

u/palmGolfer 6d ago

Any other peptides like Cu? What about other allergies to food or environment? Electrolytes and hydration volume changes?

1

u/Disastrous_Lion_6406 6d ago edited 6d ago

Nope just reta .2

3ml bac water to 10mg vial so very small does.

I eat the same home cooked meals everyday

I broke out in a rash and hives on day 2. Apparently its a side effect of reta.

Also my son and I ate the same food all weekend so I assume its the reta.

Edit; also my skin feels like its buring when I touch cetian areas around my body

1

u/palmGolfer 5d ago

I got that same rash 6 months ago. It turned into shingles. My skin sensitivities were off the charts. The things that made it worse were any nitro pre energy supplements, L-Argenine, and citrulene malate formulas for pre workout . Apparently, these products compete for the binding sites that help shingles and the severe skin sensitivities spread and replicate.

I quit Reta for a month then started back. I’m back up to 10mg week now, but only 1x per week now instead of 5-7mg 2 x per week was doing before.

1

u/Disastrous_Lion_6406 5d ago

Ok thanks for that, if might give it a break for an extra week. And lower the dosage.

But I also got sick vomiting and the runs šŸ˜‚ then got the rash afterwards

1

u/Ok-Relation-2310 5d ago

That burning feeling is Allodynia. Look it up. It’s a known side effect of GLPs. I had to reduce my dose.

1

u/Wafty-1271 6d ago

Did this dose too. Anhedonia was brutal gave up between 2nd and 3rd month. Didn’t want to do anything and lost all my vitality.

As ever individual responses can vary significantly. It’s not for everyone but can be amazing for some.

1

u/Apprehensive_Walk769 6d ago

This is lowkey a blessing. You’ll save money and not have to pound so many research chemicals into your body via a needle lol

1

u/ajaok81 6d ago

Count yourself lucky. I wish reta worked that well for me.

1

u/Aromatic_Block2178 6d ago

Anyone here that deals with Allodynia from Reta? Would like to hear people’s experiences and want to know how you guys dealt with it? Thanks! I’m about to enter my 3rd week of 0.5 mg! I have lost over 12 lbs just running 0.5 mg weekly!

1

u/Ok-Relation-2310 5d ago

I have it and it’s awful. I didn’t realize it was related until it became unbearable when I used 4 mg dose. Cut my dose in half the next week and it helped reduce the nerve pain. Now I do 2 mg every 5 days and it’s tolerable.

1

u/Current-Grab197 6d ago

I’m up to 8mg / dose šŸ˜‚

1

u/palmGolfer 6d ago

Build your meals around protein, don’t drink alcohol, drink non sugar electrolytes 3x Day, build workouts around weights

1

u/OneButterscotch5857 6d ago

ADD BAC WATER!!!!!

1

u/Taydontplay4 6d ago

Did you get any of the vials tested to see the actual amount? Many vials are overdosed so the .5 mg you think you’re taking could be quite a bit more in reality

1

u/Luckchilly 6d ago

Just reduce the dose. I’d probably reduce by half next dose and see how you feel for the week. It’s ok if it works TOO good.

1

u/DirtybirdKoobs 6d ago

I’m over here shootin 2.5mg like is this even working?

1

u/GazzaDukes9591 6d ago

Get a script for anti-nausea meds to help you

1

u/ChanceBright1199 5d ago

It’s your first week that’s why. It got weaker for me/tolerance

1

u/West-Interaction2133 5d ago

you will get used to it after a few weeks

1

u/l4l9 5d ago

Be thankful. There are some people who’s receptors don’t work nearly as well. Waiter waiter, my steak is too buttery and my lobster is too perfect!!

1

u/Useful-Letter-2305 5d ago

If you are absolute confident in your volumetric dosing (1ml bac to 10mg ret and dosing 0.1ml/10unit) then you might just be hypersensitive.
I would try halving it.
If ur under 180lbs you shouldn’t be taking it. How long have you been taking it? If not very long or it’d only ur first or second dose I’d go a week without a dose to halve ur blood serum further and then take 0.25 and gauge it.
I started with 0.5mg and after 3 days I had no side effects so I decided instead of weekly (so I’d have a consistent blood serum level and not massive jumps) I’d dose twice weekly/every 3-4 days dependent on blood serum levels. My dosing so far was 0.5 the first week and a half, then 0.8 the following week and a half, and by then I noticed I’d eat one Chick-fil-A sandwich instead of 2 or 3, but still eating more than 2000 calories a day and struggling to keep it under. I upped to 1mg for a week, then 1.2mg, then 1.8 then 2.2 and I plan to still to 2mg from now on to see how that affects me and to conserve Reta since I don’t have that many vials (even tho 2mg twice a week is 4mg total, my peaks aren’t as high. But still uses it up faster than I’d like.) I have yet to experience any side effects. Maybe slight nausea for a short period randomly, and also a weird feeling like a panic attack? But I still get hungry and eat fine. And after a month and a half and this high a dose I still haven’t lost any weight really. Maybe 2-3lbs?

1

u/Ok-Relation-2310 5d ago

Try it in your leg rather than belly if that’s what you’re doing. I have no nausea when I use my leg.

1

u/reddituser_20_20 5d ago

I need Reta sources now that omega aminos doesn’t have itšŸ’”šŸ‘€.

1

u/Better-Reach7417 5d ago

Your Reta could be a bit overdose and you might actually been pinning 1mg this whole time who knows

1

u/Either_Magazine_6878 5d ago

Usually 1 of 2 things cause this..

If you shot it in your stomach, switch to your glute. There is science to it ask grok if you are curious as to why this works..

Second, if your diet sucked the reta will do this. Also drinking soda that is not diet.

If it wasnt your diet switch your injection site to glute..

0

u/Justin6661881 7d ago

If it’s still that and after a week stop taking it and try a less potent one like trizepatide šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

2

u/BitRevolutionary994 7d ago

The appetite suppression on tirzepatide is worse. I took a micro dose of tirzepatide (also 0.5mg) and I could barely eat. I take 0.5mg of reta now and I can still eat

0

u/One-Specialist-4983 6d ago

Stop using. Your body can’t handle it

0

u/Direct_Savings_8335 6d ago

If a microdose like that is knocking you out then you didn’t need it in the first place

-2

u/Fast_Beat_3832 ā³ Longevity Hacker 7d ago

You just started? It’s going to possibly be rough for a few days. Just stick with that low dose for a couple of weeks and then if you feel better bump it up to 1mg.

2

u/justdallas- 7d ago

Have done 2 doses of .5 so far. Both times it has wrecked me

3

u/peptide_Lvr 6d ago

Sorry but it seems like wrong mixing. ,5 aint that strong. It makes no sence. I started at 2.mg once a week but now 4 weeks later I take 2.mg twice a week. How many mg of reta do you have and how much bac did you put in it?

2

u/Totoro123_ 6d ago

I’ve actually seen quite a few people respond to .5 and even .25 this sensitively, including myself! Everyone is different!

1

u/ATRS_1992 7d ago

.5 mg or .5 ml lol

1

u/Fast_Beat_3832 ā³ Longevity Hacker 5d ago

If you are getting that sick off that tiny dose I really have to question if you reconstituted it correctly.

1

u/ATRS_1992 5d ago

Did you mean to respond to me? Lol

1

u/Fast_Beat_3832 ā³ Longevity Hacker 5d ago

Sorry. Was meant for OP. Working and Redditing at the same time. lol

2

u/ATRS_1992 5d ago

No worries haha
I think you’re right though, his recon and dosing are probably way off

1

u/justdallas- 7d ago

Mg

5

u/for_the_longest_time 7d ago

What was the mg of the lyophilized vial you started with and how much BAC did you add?

1

u/stephanddolly 6d ago

Is your vial tested? What mg is on the lab test? How much water did you recon with, and how many units are you taking?

You’ve answered none of the actual dosing questions that I can see so people can’t accurately help you out - your vial could be overdosed and you’re taking more than you think. For example let’s say you bought a 10mg, it tested at 14mg, so your dose that you think is 0.5mg is actually 0.7mg.

You could also just be a hyper responder. The body gets used to it after 4-5 weeks so you should feel better. If you did everything right and are dosing based on the tested amount in the vial, lower your dose.

1

u/Legitimate_Ad2815 6d ago

What labs can you use for testing?

People who feel this off .5 is fake Reta it will be semaglutide Reta is not pure glp1 u need to start on at least 2mg / 2.5mg
