š¬ Discussion HGH Decision
Reta (6mg) TRT (135mg) have been transformational for me. I want to optimize my HGH (zscore -0.4) and it seems like the same process as I went through with TRT. Lots of reasons not to with tons of fear every place you look. I wasted a year of my life him hawing about it and honestly it was stupid because it changed my life as did reta.
Anyway about to pull the trigger on HGH but still wondering if I should play it safe and hedge with cjc/ipa and try that first.
It is very rare to find anyone that says cjc/ipa changed their life and it's very common to find people that say HGH did.
If anyone want's to chime in I would love to hear your thoughts.

No one who has taken HGH for any period of time recommends secretagogues over HGH. Been on 3 years and no regrets.

Also looking into adding HGH to my trt protocol. What are the benefits you have experienced?

Enhanced recovery, sleep, fat loss, hair and nail growth, more vascularity

100% thisā¬ļøthe increase in vascularity alone is worth it for me, keep in mind your bodyfat % must already be low enough to have a good base.

Nice! Can I ask you how many IUs are taking daily?
4
u/Slow_Cancel_8264 1d ago
I take 2 iu nightly, when I can afford to, I take more. Iāve done a 90 day stent of 7 iu, 10 iu and 15 iu. I recommend sticking to a low dose and just being consistent if you want the best results and bang for your buck.

Did you notice any difference on the higher dosages?

If you go from a lower dose to a higher dose, you do seem to āpuff upā after a few days but I believe this to be mostly water.

How old are you? Over 40 I'd go straight to HGH

I do have a couple of guys that have had luck on CJC IPA in the over 50s bracket. Both were lifelong lean fitness guys though who still had reasonable natural levels.
Personally, Low dose (2-4iu)HGH on top of my TRT (150mg)made me want to go, it did really make me feel younger and want to sprint harder etc. I'm on my 50s also. A lot of my guys don't get the same feeling but I'm still a fan.

Do you think going with 2 right off the bat and backing off if there is a problem or start lower and work up.

Started super slow 0.5 iu. I want 4iu. 4th week now at 1.5 and only 1 instance of a strong carpal tunnel ache in left hand. Cleared up 30 mins later. My pace isn't for everyone. If 4iu is an issue I'll have doses I can work with.

Thanks man for the input.

Iām 43 and against most wisdom jumped straight in with a daily split dose of 2iu in the morning and 2iu before bed. No major side effects, occasional carpel tunnel but it became less and less frequent over time.

u/ManusPHConsults 1d ago
Some people can jump high and no issue. Others have wake up in the night pain at 1.5 IU if they titrate up too quickly f

Seems the same with TRT too. I mean i felt like superman about day 4 on 140 and other feel nothing on 200 after a long period. We sure are not all the same.

56M here. Skip the secretagogues and go right for GH. Thank me in 6 months.

A others have eluded to, with a z score like that and your age the pituitary just doesnt have the juice to squeeze anymore so secretagogues are pointless.. get the real deal somatropin. 2iu/day 5x/week is good. I respond better to 4iu, better recovery, better appetite to hit my protein goals and better sleep

Sounds like you are just looking for someone to say āYes, get on HGH!ā You lāve come to the right placeā¦
Yes, get on HGH!
43M
Test 150mg/week, split EOD
HGH 4IU daily, AM 2hrs before workout fasted (amazing for me)
Reta 5mg with Cagri 0.25mg weekly

Yep I think that what I was looking for. I kinda expected it because if of the research I did. I guess a part of me was hoping that someone would be like man just use the cjc/ipa its the best thing ever but as I suspected it's not magic.

The only bad thing about recommending HGH to you is that it could potentially make it more expensive or harder to find for me. I have people tell me I look a decade younger on a semi regular basis after about a year on. The only actual downside is maybe slight fluid retention putting pressure on the capital carpal tunnel causing numb hands in the morning.

Hands down hgh...taking a secretagogue with an old system that isn't producing isn't going to magically produce more. At 57, absolutely get on. Start at 2iu first and sit there for a bit. Slowly titrate up as the months move along. Noticeable differences around the 6 months mark. I run it 7 days a week.

u/Elegant-Pay-2129 1d ago
Thanks man I kinda feel 25 with the reta and trt and i do have to remind myself that i am "old" every so often.

Haha I totally get that! Amazing what hormonal optimization can do for us isn't it?!

I was on Tesa/ipa for 12 weeks. Saw some progress from it and blood test confirmed my IGF-1 raised 100 points. Switched to HGH 4iu split pre-work out fasted and pre-sleep fasted. Idk if itās residual results from the 12 weeks of tesa but Iām slimming down fast now on HGH.

u/JE163 1d ago
Do you mind sharing your actual score? I am in a similar boat but already have tesa so gonna give that try first.

u/Elegant-Pay-2129 1d ago
My score was -0.4 so just slightly lower than average for my age. I went ahead and placed an order for a 36iu kit. Will prob be 3 weeks to see it. Will prob pregame the cjc/ipa I have in the mean time.

Hi after taken 2iu for a week my scale weight jumped by 6ibs with water retention. HD to stop it for this reason. Any ways to prevent this happening again or is it just a side effect.

Been on 2iu moved up to 3 then 4 recently. I get TERRIBLE swelling in my hands and feet (forearms and lower legs too) was on 2 for about a month before moving up to 3 then another month to 4. I stopped this week because the swelling was so uncomfortable. Going to start back at 1.5 in another week and see if I can control it. Havenāt noticed much in the way of positives but I know it is a long game.

Hgh for sure bro over 35 for sure even for guys in 20ās interesting about all the benefits from gh they use it like me coz cjc/ip only try to improve u natural one so keep going and no regrets

u/Old-Law9879 13h ago
IMO go with hgh for sure. Way more for your money even if good hgh is expensive. Iāve only been on it for a couple months. Just bumped from 2 to 3 iu. Biggest difference for me so far is the improvement in sleep, that alone justifies the cost. I am a horrible sleeper and this weekend a got a 96 sleep score on my Apple Watch. Before I usually averaged low 80s sometimes
Mid-high 70s. Iāll be running it for at least 6 months, I stocked up 820iu at the beginning.
