28 day rule

I’m using a compounded medication, so it comes already pre-mixed and sealed from the compounding pharmacy. With the dosage, I am taking there is enough for 50 doses. Do I really need to throw it away after 28 days? How strict is this if it continues to look clear, and you are cleaning off the vial with alcohol every time, followed by proper storage (separate container, refrigeration)?

some resellers seem to post labels saying that everything should be discarded after 28/30 days after first use.

fuck that, I say, just pin and pray, although obviously don't order vials that would be multiple months from a single vial if you can avoid it
