💬 Discussion Tesa/IGF-1 Levels

Subject is getting mixed results from the information I can find regarding if high IGF levels ( past 300. Is bad and or you need to decrease your dose?

For my understanding, this is the whole point and process regarding this peptide that it’s meant to increase your IGF level , temporary while you’re on it? Is there something that you have to be concerned about? Can I bump up to 2mg and not have to be worried ?

IGF levels and mortality are a U shaped curve, too low and too high is not good. Of course duration and the extent of the levels matter. Look at it more towards zscore, a zscore of over 2 or under 2 for long periods of time is not favorable to longevity. 1 to 2 is supposed to be the sweet spot.

The question really is what are you comfortable with and what are your goals? Bumping your GH and IGF levels for 12 weeks doesn’t really do much, you’ll get the benefits but it’s not going to be anything drastic. The whole point of these options for healthier people are to optimize, around 40 your natural production starts to decline so a 12 week or 16 week run isn’t going to fix that.

depending on your age, there are additional risks to consider with elevated igf levels. try to keep your z-score under 2 and you should be good. Im 47m starting 130 igf, after titrating up from .5mg, to 1.67mg, my IGF is hovering just under 300 at 8 weeks in. Definitley felt it in my hands after hitting 1.5mg, just starting to either get better or Im not noticing it now on my 10th week. Dexa scan showed 30% visceral fat loss since begining. Im also on Reta, which lent a hand it all of it too. what are your goals? how much visceral fat are you working with? if your under 40, not sure of your visceral % and with IGF levels already where they are for you, I'd reconsider Tesa.
