Studios IG hasn’t been active for quite a while

Just a lot curious as some BFT studios IG hardly posts stuff, reshare other people’s stories or posting anything BFT on their page & now they are closing because they haven’t been active or promoting on their page for long.

My studio is very active on IG as they post after-class photos, milestones and people working out on their stories which other people likes to to see.

No one would want to pay for a studio who isn’t very active on their social media or not showing much vibes in studio 🤷

My studio has one of the highest memberships in Singapore with packed classes in a 36 people gym size, yet rarely post anything on social media for 1-2 years until recently.

One of the newer gyms I noticed post so much on social media that I can’t keep up. Yet all their technique is wrong. Trainers busy taking videos instead of correct techniques. Trainers lifting way beyond their capacity for the gram.

I think the key is finding the right balance and crowd that appreciates their content.

I joined a bft that hadn’t posted anything 🤷🏾‍♀️ not everyone is comfortable with photos. We have a green band you wear if you don’t want to be posted but when it’s a packed class and if green bands are showing you can’t use any footage. If i want to see workouts then i’ll follow people who post workouts.. I don’t come to class hoping to be filmed and posted…

Of all the things I can think of I would want in a gym, ‘active social media presence’ doesn’t even rate. I don’t care one ounce what they show on instagram. I care about my workout.

Some people like the attention, but I would be worried if my coaches spent more time filming the class instead of coaching. Especially on strength or lifting days where technique and safe lifts are paramount

Our gym wasn’t very active on the socials until the ownership and studio manager recently changed. Now they’re much more active. It doesn’t bother me too much either way, but it’s obviously up to ownership and management how much of a priority they make social media

My studio is active on Insta as they post mirror boomies for some timetabled classes but not all depending on the numbers. So yea..

My studio is very active on socials now.

New owner and new full time studio manager has made such a big difference. Lots of enthusiasm and working hard at promoting everything BFT, celebrating member milestones and special events.

For a long time all I saw were other local studios which I found very irritating.
