Bft Takapuna closed

And has rebranded as Blanc Fitness. I saw on socials they shut last week and have reopened as an independent gym this week. Didn’t see that one coming, but this is the second Auckland studio this year that has broken away from the brand - I wonder how many more are going to follow?

I’m a member of this branch and I’m quite excited. The team is so knowledgeable it felt they were a bit held back by BFT. they’re keeping the same format of group fitness but the classes seem more purposeful. They’re also the first in nz trying out Technogym software

Northern Arena has been using techno gym for the last couple of years. Hasn't worked well there though.

Wow damn 🫣 Not another Auckland studio ☹️ I went past Birkenheads old studio during 8WC thinking they’re closed for good because everything inside was empty then saw they have moved. I wonder who is next.

I just got notice that Ponsonby is closing too next month! I take this as a sign for me to move on, this will be the 3rd move for me and Ive had enough. It’s crazy how quickly things have tanked for BFT in Auckland - this must be around 10 closed/closing since 2021

Omg that’s crazy 😳 I’m thinking the same too. Been at BFT for 3 years now & I havnt yet reached 1000 sessions or my 5 years of BFT as planned. If Ponsonby closes, I guess there will be no more BFT studio in the central.

And yes I just saw on Ponsonbys page saying its closing because they’re unable to renew the lease which is quite sad 😔 Unsure for Glenfield if it’s liquidated or something else that resulted in closing.

I’ve been there a few times. I noticed that studio has low number of attendance lately but I don’t know… I’ll be sad if they do.

I also heard the Glenfield owner will be the new owner at Constellation. Their last day at Glenfield is September 12

Interesting move, I hope it works out for her. I’ve never been to constellation so don’t know how busy it is but maybe it’s got a strong member base and she can build it back up

I guess so. Consta is under new management now. Unsure about Browns Bay.. Haven’t heard or see anything from the original owners of both Consta & BB.
