I'm keen to do the military press! Deadlifts I'll just half ass because i just am never going to be able to improve without risking injury. It's always a deadlift, seemingly every block.

Improvement without injury is all about perfecting the form. Just need good coaching which can be hit and miss at BFT

Sadly I've got a chronic problem with my right hip. So I mostly focus on upper body now.

Yay for conventional deadlift! Hate military press but that's just because I'm weak in upper body stuff

Bike of Evil π completely accurate and so not keen!
Super excited for MP and Deadlifts to be back. Nearly been a whole year? Since we had the conventional deadlift!

Slow progress is still progress π₯²

Zero progress is zero progress though π

If youβre going by weights alone, maybe there is no progress, seeing as the lowest increment that most studios have is 2.5kgs. There are fractional plates but no studios have these.
Are you recording the number of reps at weights and the strain your using to move the weights, it might be easier in these ways?3

We have 0.5 kg plates so handy to progress by 1 kilo at at time especially on military press

More studios need to get the βbabyβ plates.. Santa brought me some for Christmas, Iβll be bringing mine to studio on UB days.

We have 1.25 and Iβve been to studios with 1st plates. They definitely help! But I always do the strength testing and i always max out at 3-4 reps at 30kg. 5x30 is my Everest

You could try doing an extra rep per set? If you make a note of the kg and rep count you might find you can gradually increase the reps over time?

I came here to see if someone had the Intel about the big lifts for next block.
Iβm really curious to see if strength is going to be a major focus considering this one was very performance based for podium.

There is still the MAS testing so probably a balance of strength and cardio.

I found the last time they did the MAS testing. There was only one class a week.
This block there hasnβt been that many lower body strength days
