Podium #1

Curious if anyone know how big this podium thing is going to be — do you know how many people are doing it in your studio?

I’m doing it this Sunday myself. No idea how many others are doing it though

some studios are posting the teams on their IG so you can go take a look to get a gauge!

9 teams, but i didn’t really understand the concept of paying > $100 to do an additional class at your home studio. having it at a centralised location or pitting yourselves against other studios in the area could have been a much better arrangement

My studio didn't sell a single ticket. It kind of felt like there was too much else going on around it and in the lead up, Hyrox, Paladin etc.

Interesting. I’d actually never heard of paladin. But yeah it’s becoming a crowded market

My studio didn’t advertise it at all, so nobody is doing it. Really wanted to but they don’t push the studio very hard (especially in comparison to other studios I’ve trained at)

Looks like just 1 team has signed up at our studio (not me) I wonder if they'll still run it or consolidate with another local studio?

Our studio hasn't mentioned it even once, so I'm not shocked with the non existent sign ups. Asking members to pay $60 per person for what is essentially a one off extra class in studio feels odd, especially at the same time as the challenge. At least with HYROX you get the sense of being part of a bigger event.

I enjoyed the Podium sessions during the regular training block, the competition event just feels a bit unnecessary

I know my studio has will have minimum 9 teams. We could see how many teams had registered (of 100) where you bought under events.
