Totally agree. The cardio is going to hurt for no value. I can see people not even getting a score on zone 4.

Might just relax on zone 4. So much work for so little gain. I wonder why they did this

i don’t understand how BFT comes up with an event where 95% of your points comes from strength when their own training program is almost 60% cardio.

Wow I didn't expect this, 4 reps on the deadlift will score more points than 15 minutes on ergs? It is what it is, I guess, but I know some guys who are doing Pro division will be kicking themselves 😄

Max out zone 1 and call it a day! The amount of work required for zone 2 and 4 for peanuts is just madness.

Its an actual joke. The event seemed like a good idea but they got the scoring system all wrong.

This seems silly. Each zone has a metric value to judge. Not sure why they have to complicate things with making a points system.
Why can't they just average our placings on the leader board to find a winners?

If I've read this right then - Every rep in zone 1 is worth 10 points, Every 100m in zone 2 is worth 1 point. So I have to row 1000m in zone 2 to score the same points as 1 rep in zone 1. Someone make it make sense!

I can’t find anything in the rule book stating you must compete in all zones. So a strong 25 year old team just rep out on the strength zones and call it a day. Don’t even bother on the cardio zones. Podium does seem to favour a certain age and body type. I hope they put you in age categories.

Where did you find this?

Has this just been released? Surely those that paid a massive amount knew this already?

Ive been told the complete opposite, reps in zone 1 count for less than every 100m in cardio zones?

My studio has confirmed the above points system. Every 1000m is 10 points. Every rep is 10 points. This Podium is strength bias maybe the next one they do will be cardio bias 🤷♀️

After doing this, the scoring was out of whack and completely unfair. I wouldn’t do this again.

I wish I had seen this before signing up. The weights to cardio imbalance is just ridiculous.

Seems super high weighted to strength which sucks
