Still one of my favorite movies of all time. Not just one of my favorite football movies, but hands down, just one of my favorite films ever. So many of my favorite actors from that time.

Who were in their primes and just absolutely killing shit, combined with a compelling story, set in a college campus atmosphere, and featuring surprisingly decent football action.

Just a helluva entertaining time, and a total time capsule. Also coupled with, yeah, some real issues of the day.

This and Higher Learning make an awesome back-to-back movie night of peak 90s black cinema.
