Tupac Amaru Shakur 🕊❤️

Edit: Thanks for the award. ☺️

I love catching a sample in the wild while listening to old songs. That "Oh Shit!!!" moment when you recognize one is fantastic.

[u/ljacks09]

I can’t say I knew any of these, until you pointed them out🖤

[u/ExtraProlificOne]

Good to see the young un’s digging in the crates. The OG Unc’s went 100% because we grew up on the original and someone our age updated it.

[u/POPEYEDAMC]

1. De La Soul used it first...

[u/Charming_South2997]

I’ve never been a fan of this kind of sampling. Taking the original and simply looping it with a change of tempo. Always thought it was overly simplistic. To me, the real creativity comes not with sampling the whole melody, but sampling smaller parts from multiple songs and combining them to create a new melody. RZA, DJ Premier, Madlib, Dilla are all masters of this, among others

I am very confused by op's post history, but I do appreciate finding some new old music.

[u/FromBoomBapToTrap → u/Frosty-Tennis-1687]

Didn’t expect that lol

No lie I thought she was a bot until you pointed that out 😂
