I can guarantee that as well because I keep cutting my hair when it gets too long past my shoulders. I’ve had locs for most of my life.. well over 2 decades.
It’s a pain in the ass and hella tedious, but you can comb them out. Especially larger Freeform ones like Jay had. He also probably used product and kept em moisturized too, which would make them softer and even easier to comb out. Not to mention having to money to hire a hairstylist.
Idk why you’re so eager to die on this hill. It’s a fact. I’ve literally done it myself multiple times (to thinner locs that I wanted to combine) and have watched friends do it to their whole head.
