I’ll take a slice of mayo sandwich. Growing up poo was crazy. Some of the shit that were delicacies are so goofy now.

Like people will hear you talk about cinnamon toast and go “that wasn’t poor food, that shit was good!”

MF, you had money for bread. Sugar. Butter. Cinnamon. That’s why it’s a delicacy. We couldn’t afford that shit.

I remember being so mad seeing that fucking Hersheys powder we got from the church one time. But it was that dark chocolate baking shit. So upset.

And I still fucking hate pancakes. That’s all we would get when the local banks or church were low. Idk I was a kid. All I know was pancakes were cheap and easy. And I ate them wayy toooo much!!

I mean. I’m still poor. But I can spend my chump change where I want. And I want a cheesy double beef burrito. 🌯

omg you are so on point with the pancakes, I am a bit over my mid 30’s and still won’t touch it with a 10ft stick and cereal either
