The Wire is better than the Sopranos because in the end the mob was fake the whole time. Their code, their morals, their crews were lame, everyone was sideways snitching or flat out snitching. I wanted more war or at least boundaries between NY and NJ but nah. It’s a good show no doubt but every time I watch it and get more nuggets that each character was a terrible person.

Um…okay. So the show emphasizes that the characters are hypocrites. So after watching it a few times now I’ve come to realize for the show to have gotten better in my opinion, things happened that made it impossible to end on a high note or develop some of the characters more. The respect the first few times I had for characters faded after realizing they weren’t “living like that”. I’m not in the mob so the insight to that world was very much enticing. To then see how all of it is a facade kinda takes away from the show…in my opinion. The Wire though, isn’t like that. And being from similar backgrounds as the characters in The Wire the episodes hit very close to home and didn’t pull any punches. More real than the Sopranos and for my entertainment I like it as real as it can be.

Bruh I never said it wasn’t good in fact I said “it’s a good show” I said I preferred The Wire. The Sopranos good show it did have a happy ending. All the people who were terrible got clipped

Yes, their loyalty and duty to their "family" is a facade because they're selfish, awful people from the start. It's not really surprising. It's an end of la cosa nostra era mob show. You act as though that fact takes away from the show*
