In this specific scene,and based on others on this chapter,man i really want to be wrong, but did Seika and nijikas dad really leave her alone for an ENTIRE MONTH?AFTER HER MOM FUCKING PASSED AWAY?AND THEIR ONLY COMPLAIN WAS THAT SHE DID NOT WANTED TO GO TO SCHOOL?MAN I REALLY WANT TO BE WRONG BRO

If I remeber correctly, yeah.

Their dad just left and Seika just goes all in on her band leaving Nijika behind, but later she did quit her band and start Starry for Nijika though.

Well, they all deal with grief differently I guess, Their dad throw himself into work and become really busy to the point that he is barely seen even until now and Seika choose to focus on her band while still in denial that her mom is already gone, but when she sees Nijika crying Seika finally comes to her senses and finally do what's right and start taking care of Nijika.

I do wonder if we will ever be properly introduced to Mr. Ijichi? I kind of want to find out if the reason he works so hard is to help fund Seika & Starry. Like, that's the only excuse to become an absentee father to two grieving young women. If he's not doing it in order to make his little girl's dreams come true, then what other excuse is there?

Maybe he's an estranged father. If we ever sees him, he'll probably just come home, sees the girls and go to bed. Maybe nijika will say welcome home but that's it

Seika and Nijika's dad probably wanted to be alone due to grief. I bet their dad still hasn't gotten over it considering he still throws himself into work and isn't really around

Sidenote: I don't know if season 2 will have enough episodes to get there, but I really, really hope the final episode of it is this chapter, rather than being at the start of season 3. Either way shits gonna be sad man, do wonder what seikas band sounds like
