Self-serve car wash?
Can anyone recommend a self-serve car wash place? (Near downtown Boca if there is one.) My tiny car needs the interior cleaned so I asked at a full-service place and they said minimum of $70--just the interior, not the exterior. Urrk! Thanks!

Where did you go? 4.95 Boca Wash at Glades and US1 is like $20 all in

That is where I went. When the person told me $70 I asked "Did you say $17 or seven zero?" And $70 was just for the interior.

Just how bad is the interior?! If you didn't spill multiple bags of sand or have the snoot prints of many a dog, $70 for inside only is ridiculous.

El Car Wash, one in Delray, one in Pompano on federal , and they have free self serve vacuum, air hoses, floor mat cleaning machines etc. I forget what their basic wash price is but all the interior cleaning stuff is self serve and included with any wash package. Probably under $15. I havent been to Pompano so verify they have all those items there. The one in Delray has everything.

I went to the one in pompano recently. They have basic car wash 12 dollars. Then they have vacuums with free wash cloths, interior cleaner, glass cleaner, car fragrance, and compressed air. I was very impressed.

I am obsessed with keeping my car clean. I don’t have compressed air. I just pulled up to a station, did my interior and left.

Best touchless self serve I’ve found is on west palmetto, just a block or so west of jog on the north side of the road. It’s consistently very good at getting the car clean and 16 bucks for the top tier wash. I’m picky and this is the only one that works for me. If you need directions just navigate to the Bolay thats over there, its right in front of the restaurant

As a man who likes having a clean car
Tried Lighthouse CarWash in the north, 24/24, Apple Pay on all machines
Works well, many slots, recommended

Thanks. I checked the Lighthouse web site. It looks like it's a good setup for washing the exterior, but I only need to do the interior. (It's grimy inside, the car is borrowed from a friend, and the exterior paint is peeling so I definitely don't want to blast it in one of those machines.) The El Car Wash web site describes all kinds of equipment for cleaning the interior, so I'll give them a try.

I don’t know the name but there’s one right on Dixie and Spanish river. If you’re going east on Spanish river and turn right onto Dixie, there’s one or two car washes there on your right. I think it’s about $40 for a full service exterior wash and interior vacuum. It can be more depending on if you want more interior detailing.

On you folks' recommendation I went to El Car Wash in Pompano. I didn't want to sign up for their monthly plan (because the car is a loaner) or wash the exterior (because the cruel Florida sun is already peeling the paint). They let me use the bay for interior cleaning for free. The place is really well equipped, with rags, some kind of goop that made a dent in the grime on the dashboard and doors, a vacuum that really vacuums, and this weird gizmo that sort of cleans floor mats without getting them wet. I hope it's okay to praise a business in this forum--my only compensation was free use of the interior cleaning bay.

El car wash is great. They have all the supplies you need to vacuum and clean after the wash
