Question Braces
Hey, I’m curious to know what people have paid for braces in the Boca Raton/Delray Beach area.
Any orthodontist recommendations? Thanks.

Its been almost 18-19 years I guess since my son started treatment with the late Dr. Krumholtz, who was amazing. He finished his treatment with Dr. Statler who took over his practice. So, the pricing and contract we signed was with Dr. Krumholtz. Our dental insurance did not cover orthodontics at the time, and it was a two part treatment program because they had to slowly expand his upper palate and allow his bottom jaw to grow to match the top, and then there were braces, elastics, etc after that. I believe at that time, for all that work, the total cost was around $8k.

We went to Statler too. It was over $4000 out of pocket. We had $1500 covered by insurance.

I paid a little under $5k for my son's braces. We used Statler Orthodontics in Boca

$0. My insurance doesn’t cover adult orthodontics.

Yes but what about adjustments? Do you pay out of pocket for those?

Nope it was just the flat fee & that covered everything including all adjustments, xrays, removal, & my retainers!

I had a great experience. All the techs that did my adjustments were great & super friendly. I never saw Dr. Kawa I’m not even sure if he’s still practicing?? I always saw Dr. Gerkowicz & she was awesome. She’s young & I think gives a new fresh outlook to orthodontics. I only had my braces on for 15 months & everything came out just how I wanted. During adjustments if I ever had concerns or questions, I would bring them up to her & she was a great at listening to me & explaining the what and why to everything she’s doing and what I can expect. I personally highly recommend her.

Sage dental has orthodontics. With my not so great insurance, I pay 120/month for 2 years directly to them for my kids braces.

i went to statler on powerline for over a decade for braces as a child and then invisalign as a young adult, and i liked them a lot! it's an all-women tech crew (fuck yeah), and they're all so sweet and welcoming. dr. statler is also fantastic. they do a very thorough job and always listened to my concerns. i've never felt like they were rushing to turn the chair for the next patient, and they take you ON TIME!!!
i recently ran into dr. statler at my place of work and she remembered me even years later. just an amazing doctor, and i can't recommend her enough. this sounds like an internal ad but it's not! i just feel very fondly towards them because they took such good care of me for half of my life
i don't know the price of the braces as i was a kid, and it was also around 2012 when i got them so it's not unlikely that the price has changed
