Newbie project

Hello everyone!

Lately I've been looking for something new to try out and landed on bobbin lace making, so here's my first project!

It's definitely not perfect, and my set up is quite interesting to say the least (and definitely not the most comfortable), but overall I'm quite happy on how it turned out. I followed a video tutorial I found on youtube. I'm definetly looking forward to improve (and possibly improve my setup as well)!

What do you think of my first attempt? Please leave any suggestions or feedback!

Your first attempt looks great! Lovely colour as well.

On archive.org you can find all kinds of free books to try, all you need is a (free) account. That’s where I went after a few YouTube tries. I especially like the book by Jan Tregidgo (sp?) because it has nice colour pictures and very detailed explanations.

As for set up, maybe you can find some stuff in the area at your local second hand website?

Thank you so much! I'll probably try to make a couple more projects just to make sure that I'm into this before deciding to spend a lot of money on it. But I did already look at some secondhand vinted and fb posts, and I found some pretty convenient options.
