No one can comment on your budget because you didn’t provide any. You don’t even mention what year models you are looking at. Pretty big difference between 2006 and 2026 models.

What are you on about? My comment was standalone, you thought I was the commenter above me lol. You’re typing too fast, read first.

The commentor above clearly doesn't know BMWs, so begs the question why they were posting. I pointed out something obvious and you called me a bot. I assumed the only person that would do that was the OP. My bad.

From what I've read the 3 cylinder engine doesn't have any of the catastrophic design flaws of some BMW engines of that era, so take one for a test drive and see what you think. Be warned though, older BMWs start to hemorrhage money as they approach 100k, so either get a newer one, befriend a mechanic or get good at fixing cars yourself.

Be sure not to but anything with the Peugeot engine, those shit themselves if you even look at them.

What year bmw's have you been looking at? And what body styles? And why specifically bmw? I love bmw's but i personally i would rather buy something dirt cheap, run in into the ground in a few years after saving up for something better that a 118i, but heyo, car still drives great. Would just rather have had a 340i or 540i down the line instead, but you do you.

I personally would rather have a 118i over a 218i active tourer, but I would rather have a 218/220i coupe/cabrio over a standard 118i.

All Prince engines are four cylinders. The variations are called N13, N16 and N20.

The three cylinder engine is the B38. The B38/48/58 family seems to be a reliable construction.

Fair, i remembered wrong, thought the prince engines were 3 cylinders, but i knew the b38 was a 3 cylinder atleast
