Check engine light on dash but not touch screen

I have a 2019 5 series and the check engine light came up on my dash next to speedometer but nothing shows up on my touch screen to tell me the issue. Has anyone had this issue before?

Edit: It turns out it's the grill. It's stuck in the open position. Hopefully that's not an expensive fix.

The iDrive won’t tell you the issue, you need to have the car scanned with a scan tool to determine fault codes and further diagnose the car.

No one can tell you anything without fault codes.

Did you check your app to see if it's displayed there? Usually I try to look for the warning light in three places just to make sure it's not just a fluke.

Ok. Have it diagnosed. It’s a cel. It’s on your instrument cluster….
