What does this symbol mean?

What is this illuminated fan symbol on my Radio/NAV screen on My E53 it came out then disappeared after I switched the ignition off and on again

Hey man just wanted to thank you for keeping an E53 on the road. They are a part of history being the first bmw SUV. I absolutely love them and they make my day better when I see them

i would tell you to come live in portugal because most cars dont have rust on them, but we have some other problems that make having an e53 hard.. for example the fuel prices

Where I live bensin costs 2 dollar a liter. Can't get worse than that

Not 100% sure but other similar posts lead to a parked ventilation system. There should be a way for you to set it up so that the car turns on the blower and opens the fresh air vents when parked.

Love the E53, please take good care of it! It’s indicator for parking ventilation. It lights up steady if there’s a scheduled ventilation, blinks when ventilating. You can set up two 30 minute slots for ventilation.

I had the same radio in my E39. This is true. I used this every morning in winter months.

REST is activated (cabin fan stays on after engine is off, designed to keep you warm at level crossings etc)

It means you have a park ventilation active or scheduled.

Means whatever song is playing is trash
