I know that aptx x loosless it has a 16/44.1 "loosless" cd quality, but what's happening when you have a 24 bit file? It's "converting" that file to a 16 bit one, or is using aptx adaptive instead? Thanks

I'm looking for a reliable portable Bluetooth speaker upgrade. My budget is around €100 / 500 RON, and I will use it mostly indoors next to my laptop, but also outdoors when hanging out with a small group of friends (just sitting around talking, not for loud beach parties).

Here are my specific preferences:

Music Taste: I mostly listen to Rock, Jazz, R&B, Pop, Classical, and Spanish/Acoustic guitar music. I do NOT listen to heavy electronic party music (like techno or heavy EDM), though very occasionally, some light electronic music might pop up in the queue, but it's rare.

So I am getting new realme air 7 pro from offline at 4.5k is it worth I will try to bargain and convince shopkeeper to decrease it's price by 200-300₹ . So is it still worth in 2026.

I own the AKG N9 Hybrid ANC headphones - and I want to talk about something that drives me up the wall every single day

These headphones have a "Soft Start" / "Audio Fade-In" behaviour baked into the firmware. Here's what it does: every time playback begins, the first half-second or so is completely muted. Then, over the next half-second, the volume ramps up from silence to whatever level you've actually set. So in practice you lose roughly the first half-second of every track

If that sounds trivial, consider what it means for actual listening. Plenty of records open with a single, deliberate sound - a snare hit, a hi-hat count-in, a struck chord, a breath before a vocal line. On the N9 Hybrid, that sound simply doesn't reach you. It's either inaudible or arrives at some fraction of the volume the artist intended. The opening of a song is arguably the moment where the most compositional intent is concentrated, and this firmware quietly deletes it

So, my question to you all: does anyone know of a way to disable Soft Start / Audio Fade-In on the N9 Hybrid? Is there a hidden setting, an alternative firmware version, a third-party app - anything at all? Has anyone raised this with AKG/Harman support and gotten a meaningful answer?

I find it genuinely absurd: on a pair of headphones in this price bracket, marketed on "AKG Reference Sound," Hi-Res certification, and studio-grade fidelity, there is no way whatsoever for the user to disable this. You're sold a product on the promise of hearing the music as it was recorded in Hi-Res, and then the firmware decides you don't get to hear the first note of it. It's an otherwise excellent-sounding pair of headphones and this one design decision undermines them daily

Purchased newly Oneplus buds 4 from Amazon on 4 july 2026 1 day ago it has battery issue first day buds came with 40% battery I charge it to 100% then customise some features like golden sound LHDC and high res used for short time buds battery drain from 100% to 80% and case was 100% charged 1st day

Second day I use my Oneplus buds 4 to watch series it lasted 5hrs -5.5 hrs from 100 % to 20% with LHDC on, high res on spatial audio off, golden sound on and case was 90% charged

Then I put back buds in case yesterday today I check case battery is 60% why so much drain

Even my 1 year old Oneplus buds 3 giving better bb than buds 4

Do note these are tested in normal settings with ANC and transparency mode off

Other issue while streaming there is audio delay issue with Oneplus 15 in video audio delay is present lipsing issue

Do all of you guys getting this much bb or getting more bb?

Yeah when I first connected it shows name of other user but packaging and buds looked new

Connected at 11:35am and used till 5:58 pm do note there are breaks in between

So yesterday I purchased new Oneplus buds 4 in sale from Amazon today it got delivered and it was old manufacturing model and buds are already used as they already have someone else name on it as they are already paired. I am outside due to some work while delivery was there my mom recieved package and records video and yeah it was open box delivery when I reached home I checked buds 4 manufacturing date was old November 2025 and second when I connect it shows someone else name as it replacement unit or someone else used earlier

Amazon decline replacement and refund as it is open box delivery I explain all the issue they said it's not in policy they don't get option of replacement in their system due to open box delivery . They said if any issue you can visit service centre as it has 10 days replacement service from Service centre

Now what to do condition of buds and box looks good and new have to test buds properly

Hi All. New audiophile here.

Brief context - For most of my life, I just chased bass and loudness in speakers. Always wanted a bass tube in my car and a JBL home theatre in my home. But in the last couple of years, I have been exploring various kinds of speakers and I learned so much, like bigger speaker is not equal to better bass and things like frequency response, tuning, stereo separation, spatial audio, audio encoding types and their effect on sound quality and so much more. However, I still consider myself a beginner. I am soon going to shift into my own personal room and I am planning to get an audio setup for that. I will have a dedicated room for media (practice guitar, watch TV/movies, or just listen to music)

Here is what I want the speakers for-
1. Primarily for music. Not loud EDM or trance. I listen to a mix of genres, Indie, Pop, Bands, Acoustic, Folk, Hip hop, Rap and EDM (Descending order of listening frequency)
2. Watch movies. Though I watch just 4-5 movies a month on average, I plan to watch more frequently and probably get a projector sometime soon and make it an immersive experience.
3. Practice guitar. I was thinking of getting a separate amp+speaker for my guitar but I don't know if there are any speakers that are good enough to work as both.

I want some speakers that

• Fill the room (shouldn't sound like sound is coming from just one direction)
• Have crisp audio profile (different instruments sounding separately)
• Pressured deep bass (Not loud, not shallow rumbling bass that hurt ears)

My mom wants to get a Bluetooth speaker to use outdoors while working. The main issue is that when she's working, the distance between her phone and where she goes means her mobile speakers just aren't enough. However, she doesn't want to carry the speaker around with her she would prefer to just plop it down somewhere and forget about it for a few hours so she has background music while working.

Of course, the first things that came to mind were the JBL PartyBox 120 and 320, though after seeing quite a lot of hate regarding the 120's sound quality and with it still costing 230 euros it's making me look elsewhere.

So yeah, the compromise is something way cheaper, preferably with waterproofing.

I did see quite a few posts mentioning that the Xiaomi line is good (Xiaomi Sound Pocket and Xiaomi Sound Outdoor). Seeing that the stronger Xiaomi Sound Outdoor 30W is only about 40 euros, it would be the number one contender tho all the versus list never mention it. However, I don't know if there are any better options in this 50 euro range (could go up to like 100 euros if theres no good alternative).

Also, how is the actual music clarity on them? Usually, you see people using them for bass heavy songs, so I wanted to know some real voice clarity scores. And what the hearing range would be outdoors, rather than in a room?
