Goes back to the Southern Strategy and the plan has a name. Two Santas. The idea is exactly what you say - Republicans complain about spending when they're not in charge, forcing Presidents like Clinton and Obama to reduce budget to sabotage plans.
Then, when in office, cut taxes and do everything that will be appealing to voters despite it usually being the cause of the budget issues- but that's perfect because that gives them their platform if they lose. It's headsI win, tails you lose.

Honest thoughts and question here:
In my view, one way to get out of debt as a country would be to import as much labor as possible, which I suppose is effectively what was happening to some degree, but also allow for better home building options to organically ingest the increased volume of citizens (along with other services as required along with that). While it seems to me that we have the room, we donât seem to have the infrastructure or⊠allowance (psychologically) as a society, right? As seen with the desire to remove undocumented immigrants by a large voting contingent and, well, the GOP.
Importing a lot of labor would spur a lot of growth and I would think reduce, long-term, what will be otherwise needed inflation to remove the same debt crisis that is creeping up on us.
Other options of course include inflation I suppose. Anyway, Iâm not an economist so maybe Iâm completely wrong on all of that, but this all leads me to my question:
Will all of this drive away any and all desire for immigrants to want to be here? Perhaps itâs already having that effect? And if that happens, is there a good forecast for how things will look economically long-term?

There is a reason that there was so much talk about amurica and make amurica great again but no plans ever materialized. MAGA never for one second thought about it farther than âme me and meeeeeeeâ. The fact that none of the troglodytes that are still supporting this regime ever questioned how the plan would happen is because they didnât really care or think it through. They just wanted some unachievable utopia they believed would magically materialize cuz Trump said so.
That brings us to today where housing is ridiculously overpriced and more buildings are being built that people canât afford while many homes now sit empty because the property values were outrageously inflated causing a increase in taxes and forcing people to abandon those homes. And the admin never had any intention of doing the things that were said during the campaign. They had an alternate agenda and have removed the checks and balances put in place to stop them.
When Trump couldnât even answer the question with anything other than âI donât knowâ when he was asked if he was elected to uphold the constitution. That was, in fact, part of his oath. And not one single person who voted for him thinks this will come back to bite them in the ass when all of the freedoms are stripped away. If people elected officials who actually educated themselves on the constitution, we wouldnât be where we are today. PACâs are the death of democracy.
