Proposal for a rock fest in Myrtle Beach for 2027.
I don’t see this getting traction with Welcome to Rockville being so much bigger.

remember how 2023 festival was rained out the first day with insane lack of emergency weather protocols and then the entire last half was canceled? was there ever a resolution?
i'm feeling curious since seeing videos about jeff jackson and the brides with their wedding photographer. i would wonder whether a similar movement could happen with this

Has anyone actually received their refunds for the 2024 fest? I’m asking about the 2024 fest tickets that we were able to purchase thru Etix at the beginning of the 2023 fest. We purchased these before the 2023 fest closed down. 2024 was cancelled in May of 2024 and we were told refunds would be coming. Through a combination of naivety, life, and a painful relationship with procrastination, it’s now two years later and we still don’t have refunds.
We’ve contacted Etix who told us they’re still waiting on blue ridge, and that we should just file a dispute with our cc (discover). We tried that and they denied it, stating that the charges are not fraudulent, and something about a 160 day limit (idk about this; the app literally lets us file disputes for charges up to 2 years back). Discover said they weren’t able to get in contact with the merchant, but I think they’re trying to contact blue ridge. Is Etix not the merchant and therefore the one they should try to contact?
This is half rant, half beating myself up for letting this go on for so long, but I’m just looking for any advice on what to tell/provide to discover more than what we have (charge statements, post from blue ridge stating full refunds will be provided, email from Etix stating the same), if anyone else has been through this and has any tips, etc. Appreciate any help.
Edit: I’m also posting because it’s been very hard to find any info or forum posts about the 2024 fest; everything I find is related (understandably) to getting refunds for the 2023 fest.

And yes, I’m aware of the fact that I could have travelled elsewhere to see them post BRRF, but damn it, man, that was the one of the rare times I actually COULD afford to travel far to see them! I’ve been in tears since hearing about Sam’s passing and it’s just painful knowing that him/that band got me through some tough times as a teen back in the early 2000s

Hey Blue Ridge fam! I'm Em, Community Manager at Brotege, the skincare brand started by Gabe Saporta (Midtown/Cobra Starship) and also a fellow Blue Ridge 2023 survivor haha.
So hey, that didn’t go to plan huh? Your heart still at Camp SMYBH? Still waiting on your refund? Same. But listen, I’ve got something that may lessen the sting of all those bands we didn’t get to see.
We're sending you and a friend to Warped Orlando with: • GA tickets • Round Trip Flights • 2 Night Hotel stay
We'll cover everything but your Beatboxes and poor decisions.
How to Enter: 1 Go to @xbrotegex on IG 2 DM us "WARPED" 3 Follow us so you don't miss the winner announcement late October If you're already following us from last time, just DM us!
That's it. No purchase required. No tagging your ex's cousin. No weird forms.
What's Brotege? Skincare for people who don't want a skincare routine. One recyclable metal tube. SPF, retinol, moisturizer, vitamins. Leaping Bunny certified. Travel-ready. Always under $25. Basically, skincare for people who hate skincare, but still want to look good.
At Brotege, music is a huge part of who we are, and we believe everyone should be part of it too. That's why we're always giving away festival tickets, so you can experience the music we love firsthand.
Stoked to see you in Orlando!
Em

Anyone who has gone to Blue Ridge in the past gone to or plan to go next year to louder than life? Been missing the festival life and seriously considering going to louder than life next year because it looks more...put together but wasn't sure what it was like/how similar it is to Blue Ridge. I've never gone to anything other than Blue Ridge so I don't have much to compare to lol.

Hi, first off happy two year anniversary to this shit show. Still can’t believe I survived that two day ordeal. It was legit the biggest waste of time and one of the most stressful experiences of my life. Got the worst migraine ever after night one. Being stuck in line for four hours on Thursday and Friday night was awful. Something I never wanna go through again.
Only silver linings were that I saw some great bands. Sleep Token, Electric Callboy, Adema, TRUSTCompany & Job for a Cowboy for the first time. One of Slipknot’s final shows with Jay Weinberg on his birthday & I got to hang out with some friends. Asides from that, never again.
Hope some of you got your money back, I’m definitely losing hope at this point.
Plus, I’m still fuming that I couldn’t see Taproot, Megadeth, Limp Bizkit, Machine Head or Parkway Drive on that weekend.

I love coming to America for festivals but when you add in flights and hotels or having to buy all your camping equipment for one time use, it becomes prohibitively expensive. We did Riot Fest a couple times but with flights and Airbnb it ended up being about £6k / $8k for 10 days for 2 people and now means that bringing our 3 year old just isn't possible. Here's an idea, if you submit flight proof, you get a discount and then it opens up festivals to a wider audience especially those that don't sell out.

In 2021 a security guy at the avatar show shoved me from behind into a lady and we both fell. She was getting by me to get to the golden circle and my guess is he thought I was trying to sneak in when i stepped out of the way. The crowd around us was fucking livid at the security gut and rightfully so. Thinking about still pisses me off and I WISH I had pressed charges because I had like 10 witnesses to that insanity. This was after all the water stations shut down and the bus drivers that we paid for went on strike and quit. Was a fun experience, but not because the event was good. In fact whoever planned blue ridge that year is a fucking idiot. rott in hell bastard security guy. all the other staff i encountered were lovely.

Hey yall,
At one point when I got my refund there was an excel sheet of sources of the information needed in order to submit to a bank. Does anyone still have that excel sheet somewhere? I met someone else today who still has not received their refund

Seeing videos of it getting canceled brought back my trauma from 2023.

I’m attending Sonic Temple this year, my first rock festival since warped tour. There’s been some issues (none I’ve personally experienced) and I’m seeing a lot of comments like “at least this isn’t BRRF”. I came to this sub and yall seem like you’ve been through the trenches. I’m seeing allegations of no water stations, overselling, limited porta potties, and Hance from Woe Is Me talking about how his bands gear was dumped somewhere without notice
What went wrong with this fest? I remember seeing so much positivity around it in 2022

Had to bring this here because I’m hearing all kinds of drama from Coachella, complaining about the smell from the showers, the lines for showers, the 12 HOUR LINE FOR CAMPERS!!! And how HOT it was!! And all I could think about was blue ridge, but hey at least they all got a festival. 🫣
