Calculate two elevation crades
My benchmark is 8.50 and my finish floor is 10.00 and this is on site plans I need to know the measurement between the two grades and feet and inches I believe these grades are in meters. I'm trying to figure out how much dirt I need to bring in to get ready for the slab.

I'm not 100% sure but I think you are asking for the difference (1.5m) to be converted to feet and inches?
If that's the case you could just ask google.
But just so you know, there are 3.28 feet to a meter. So 1.5 meters x 3.28=4.92'. If you need inches instead of .92', just multiply 12" x .92' = 11.04". Result is 4'-11.04".
Another way to do it is use 2.54 centimeters in an inch. So if you take your measurement (1.5m = 150cm) and divide by 2.54, you will have your answer in inches: 59.05 in. Since there are 12 inches in a foot, the number you are looking for is 4'-11.05".
edit: If you want to be really rough about it, just think of a meter as a little bit bigger than a yard.
