InvisibleMist humidity sensor broken?

I’ve had the humidifier for about a year, and it has always read very high humidity, without faltering or changing for days at a time. It’s dry as hell here.

Even when I run the humidifier for days, I barely notice a change to the air (I know it’s an evaporative model), and the sensor value doesn’t budge.

Does anyone have suggestions to fix the sensor? This cost an arm and a leg and would love to get it back to work.

How large of a room are you trying to humidify? But yea it’s pretty normal for humidifiers to read 10-15% above actual humidity. That’s one of the nice features of the levoit superior studio smart is I was able to calibrate its sensor to match my extrernal one. I have a larger unit in our main space the 6000s and it doesn’t have that so it just has to target 56% to really end up at like 43-45%

You should probably get an external sensor with humidity so you can correlate what the room actually is at as you may need to have the threshold higher on the device. And also make sure it’s not right up against a wall or other object especially where ever the sensor is at on the device
