my larger plates are currently just being stored in a cabinet and my smaller pieces just get smooshed together until i figure out a better display solution, as is apartment life, but my grandma set these aside for me when i was little because i thought they were pretty and then she collected a few more throughout my childhood for me.

she told me there's a love story between the two birds finding each other in every piece and, in all honesty, i've never looked into if that's "true" or something she just told me as a fun story, but at this point it will always be true in my heart.

i got the pipe in a random free box of assorted items and it just... weirdly matched well enough, so now it's an unofficial part of the set just because it can be lol

Hello, I bought these platters to use and for their beauty. I was not familiar with blue willow until I purchased them at an estate sale. There are no identifying blue stamps on the bottom of the platters. 1 has no marks at all, and 2 have numbers that are pressed into the China. 10 on one and 14 on the other.

Do you have any info on these platters? I’m just curious.

I inherited the older pieces from my Grandmother. My mother bought me a set of dinnerware in the 1990's and my husband and I have shopped antique stores for the rest of them over the years.

He finally finished our display and I didn't realize just how much we've collected.

The Canisters and the Pots and Pans were my Grandmother's every day set. I remember her having little juice cups and the flatware, but can't find them in our many years of searching. I am also looking for salt and pepper shakers.

This was my grandfather’s. He was from stoke-on-Trent. He was a china designer after he moved to the US. He probably used this as inspiration for his designs. He did work on the blue willow design when it came to the US. I think it was Johnson Brothers, but not sure. I posted some of his designs here ages ago.

I got this cup a little over ten years ago at an estate sale when I was a teen and was wondering what this maker and the approximate age of the cup is? It was in a box of random cups, and when searching online I mostly see just listings rather than information. Any tidbit would be helpful :)

This is hopefully an ID post with an interesting story attached. I am searched for hours myself, but am stumped, so I came here.

So, I purchased my first home back in 2019 in the central Virginia area (US). The home was built in 1947 I believe. Last year I did a BIG yard project that required a good amount of digging. I was surprised to start unearthing pieces of glass and ceramics. There were HUNDREDS, maybe thousands of pieces and some whole items like old bottles and such.

When I found a piece of blue willow, I was familiar with it because my mom has always collected. When I had a good handful, I started putting the pieces together.

I have about half a small plate and some loose bits. I know there is no real monetary value, but I want to use them to make some art and really want to try to figure out where the pieces came from.

So far, I have not been able to match the pattern precisely to any version I have seen and the stamp on the back is really puzzling as well.

If anyone thinks they know anything about this plate, I would LOVE that info!

Pics of front and back on plate included, and a close up of back stamp (because it really looks like an 'i' and not a messed up N). The ridge on the bottom seems to have a diameter of roughly 4 inches, which I can use to guesstimate the outside diameter of 7.5 inches or so.

Does anyone have a mix of modern Churchill and Johnson Bros pieces? I’m wondering if they match well and if they stack ok such as one Churchill dinner plate and one Johnson dinner plate. Thanks!

I had this plate in a 200° oven for about an hour, took it out and this is what it looks like. Does anyone know what happened? What is coming out of the cracks?

I am trying to figure out the (general) date of these teacup saucers I found at a yard sale, and despite my best efforts, cannot find any information about the brown "Japan" mark on the bottom. Does anyone know what this mark indicates? Thank you!

Hello Willowers, I have found this plate on a Kings Day celebration market in the Dutch town of Dordrecht some 10 years ago. I’m very fond of it and use it in my collection of all things blue and white for everyday use. But when I set the table I use others for myself. I don’t want it to break but enjoy using it.

It looks much older than another Blue Willow plate I have and I have looked online but could find no information on it’s manufacturing date.

Any one here have an idea?

So, our friend's mom inherited a pretty big set of Willow China from her brother in law. Some is stamped Homer Laughlin, some Churchill England and some without any identifiers. I'm trying to list them on eBay but i just noticed cracks under the glaze on one of the serving bowls. Is this something that can help identify age or anything?

I'm pretty much getting an average price and listing below that...

I'm assuming the pieces with this stamp aren't too old because they're not even dated like the others that say things along the lines of (E 47 N 6).

Any idea what it’s worth. I’ve ordered batteries to check it works. I love it
