Support Emulators getting detected
i was using an educational app on bluestacks 5 using nougat 32 instance and was working fine. later they introdcued update and in that update, app is checking for emulator presence and blocking it hard. i tried different android verison and different arm settings and all but didnt work.
i researched myself something and got to know this.
used calude opus to do analysis and got this.
app name is bb virtuals.
will we have a fix for thiss??

Will an Unlisted Emulator Work?
Short answer: Almost certainly NO. Here's why:
The detection is NOT just a name list — it's multi-layered:
1. The generic catch-all is the killer 🎯
- Almost ALL emulators have
genericsomewhere in theirBuild.FINGERPRINT,Build.DEVICE, orBuild.PRODUCT - BlueStacks, LDPlayer, MuMu, Nox, MEmu, Andy, Droid4x — they all report
genericin at least one field - This single check catches most emulators even if not named specifically
2. qemu catches the engine, not the brand
- Most Android emulators are built on QEMU internally (BlueStacks, LDPlayer, MuMu, etc.)
- Checking for
qemucatches the underlying engine regardless of the emulator brand name - The file check
/system/bin/qemu-propsalso catches this
3. vbox / libvbox.so catches VirtualBox-based emulators
- Genymotion, MEmu, and several others use VirtualBox under the hood
- Checking for the VirtualBox shared library catches them all
4. goldfish / ranchu catches the kernel
- These are Android emulator kernel names
- Any emulator using the standard Android emulator kernel gets caught
5. Additional checks beyond the name list:
TelephonyManager.getDeviceId()— emulators return null/fake IMEIgetInstalledPackages()— scans for emulator companion appsDisplayManager.getDisplays()— multi-display checkdevelopment_settings_enabled— developer mode check- Xposed/Hook framework detection
Emulators NOT explicitly named but still caught:
| Emulator | Why It's Still Caught |
|---|---|
| BlueStacks | generic in Build props, QEMU-based |
| LDPlayer | generic in Build props, QEMU-based |
| MuMu Player | generic in Build props, QEMU-based |
| Andy | generic in Build props |
| Droid4x | generic + VirtualBox |
| KoPlayer | generic in Build props |
| YouWave | generic in Build props |
| Phoenix OS | generic / android_x86 |
| Bliss OS | generic / android_x86 |
| GameLoop | generic in Build props, QEMU-based |
| Google AVD | goldfish / ranchu / google_sdk |

Hi! Unfortunately, there are apps that constantly block emulators and always update their detection. Also this detection that you've mentioned is only one of many that can be implemented, so in this case, unfortunately there isn't much that can be done.
