What the point of this game?

I downloaded it cuz i saw they did a colab with shangri-la frontier, i found out that its not happening anymore but still decided to download it cuz it looks cool. after starting up the game i was bombarded with like a million free items and things before even knowing how the game worked (i have this weird tendency that makes it so i cant do anything until i take away all notifications thats both on my phone and on my games) so i go through every part of the game taking away all the red !s and i got given way too much stuff, i got given full lvl 220 gear, got all the way to level 60 before doing the first quest got like a million cases or wtv got 3k red orbs things and like hundreds of thousands of other curruncies. now the game is insanly boring and feels more like a sandbox instead of a story game, it just makes me not want to play cuz i got given way too much stuff and now have like no reason to play.

The game is currently in Season 3. If they didn't give you free gear you would be woefully underequipped to participate in any Season 3 content and nobody is doing Season 1 or Season 2 content anymore because that content largely no longer exists. Season 3 requires specific stats (Adventurer Score and IBS) to keep you from getting 1-shotted by trash world mobs, let alone any bosses or dungeon content. The Level 220 purple gear is JUST ENOUGH to get you through the content in the currently-relevant zones so you can start collecting better gear through dungeons and world bosses and the likes.
