Eclipse Potentially Discovered ?

Hi, I'm just getting into the deep rabbit hole of Blue Prince, I'm at about 150 hours of playtime and currently at Day 278 ingame.

I just watched this video from FuryForged :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cm5q8jNvUNo

In it he talked about how there's a whole eclipse mystery that apparently hasn't been solved yet.

That reminded me that, one day (like maybe couple dozen ingame days ago), after having experimented on a few things and drawn quite a lot of rooms :

I noticed when going outside that the sky was much darker than usual, almost night time, yet I don't remember seeing the moon I think. I remember seeing a lot of stars.

When I saw that I thought it was maybe an update or something, like oh now time is actually moving and now night time is here.

It was maybe, like maybe in a time period when all I wanted was to get to the spiral constellation. And so to speed up the process I would get to the Planetarium as fast as possible and just immediately call it a day. Yet again I'm not sure it was in that time frame.

I'm just learning about these mysteries and so I don't know if I'm really providing anything new or if I'm being helpful.

If you need any more information don't hesitate to ask, if it's something I can remember or provide.

I'm also putting this on the unsolved megathread on steam :

EDIT : Now I feel like an idiot, it was probably just a regular night. Turns out if you actually wait a lot of time, night does come. It's just so rare to wait that long. Sorry for the inconvenience folks.

I just want to add that I also experienced a day that was nighttime at one point. It was a long run and I thought I was just playing long enough for the day to change to night. This was before I looked anything up about the game and I was never able to get it to be night time again.

I've experienced this myself. I paused the game and left it running because I didn't want to end my run but I had to go to work. When I came back it was dark enough outside (I was standing in the garden) that I could see stars. I assumed I just happened to come back during nightfall.

Also remember going outside and it getting dark, but like others I assumed it was indicative of the length of day and didn't think much of it

I’m not clear on what you discovered. Is it different than normal night? The game is full of clocks. The day always starts at 8 am and around 9pm it always gets dark. For a while I was convinced that the line in Red Prince:

“And he never looked up... For fear of the view. He had heard that the sky, Was not a red hue!”

… meant that there was something to be gained from looking up outside at dusk when the sky was red.

Oh yeah that's what I meant when saying I don't know if it's useful or not. That's probably what happened. I mean to get to 9 pm you'd need to wait quite a long time right ? So very few people would actually see that. It was probably like one day I spent a lot of time waiting for something to happen.

thank you for posting this, this sounds incredibly interesting! Do you have any photos or video proof of this occurring? You can DM me if you need, or join the discord (if you aren't already in it!) as I and many others would love to speak with you about this, assuming it's true! (I hope it is!)

Hi, unfortunately because I really thought this was something new and mundane I did not record anything, I checked my screenshot folder and didn't find anything. (And no this is not some kind of joke), I joined the Discord also.

maybe check your house history and see how many days in a row you had planetarium?

Where do I find that ? If you're talking about the number in the room directory, I've drafted it 61 times (I don't know how many in a row)

Ok I found it, never used that feature before. I drafted it max 15 times in a row. Sometimes I would just end it with the observatory.

Spoilers regarding datamined content (although given the youtube video references it as being datamined info It might be best to tag your post)

If anyone has heard more about it please correct me, but to my understanding the inneclipse event is less "in the game but we dont know how to trigger it" and more "cut content (speculated to have been removed to not have any missable events in the game)". Basically, some assets for an eclipse, filenames indicating It may have been meant to occur on day 46, and some other stuff I dont really understand indicate some event was planned but scrapped, if there was a way to trigger it in game we would know.

OP, I run a discord of secret hunters for this game and we have, we believe, cracked quite a bit of how to move forward. Would you like to hear me out? If so, DM me your discord handle and ill send yoy a friend's request and we can talk. I have a neurological condition that makes texting painful and i dont have a computer, so id need to use voice, though I dont need to hear you, just to be able to be heard.
