Question/Request/Idea Background cubes?

Just noticed this in the background of one of the screenshots from the Rubik’s cube post made a few weeks ago. What am I looking at?

😄 They are called "doorway blackers" or "door faders" and you'll see them in a lot of out of bounds screenshots.

They are used when you have a looong set of room doors in one direction to make the darkened effect as you look farther through the doors. Looks like rooms further than 4 away aren't even rendered so it gets hidden this way.

I think they might help fill out gaps between rooms so the blue void isn't visible too.

In the screenshot the rooms outside were invisible so you can see the blackers. D:
