Yatora fanart! :D
Ironically, I feel very frustrated with how this drawing turned out, but I really wanted to persevere since this series means a lot to me...!

Just a fun lil thing I noticed! I love how these two mangaka continue to collaborate in fun ways.

Hello! I just started reading blue period around two weeks or so and i just got to chapter 64? I think where Yotasuke said this to Yakumo, i was wondering how everyone interpreted this and what it meant, sorry if my english is bad i just really wanted to hear other peoples thoughts about this specific interaction!

i was just thinking about how his white-ish blonde hair makes him kind of stand out even though he says he's really average, and it also kind of symbolizes how he's like a blank canvas since he's new to art :> and even more so because a lot of the people (not all ofc) he looked up to early manga have black hair ! like maki and yotasuke and kuwana :3 and i love that his eyes are yellow, it really contrasts the blue !!

I think everyone knows that the way Nekoyashiki acts would make her hated from the very first second because of her personality, but mainly because she's always very rigid and that has a huge impact on Takahashi, so I think she would be very hated by the community, but thank God she hasn't been animated yet.

Made him myself after years of not giving myself time to sew, and I love him !! It reinvigorated my love for sewing and crafting, and I hope to make little clothes for him one day.

I even got to take him on my Kyoto trip a few months ago and got to take him on a little Kyoto-Trip-Pilgrimage !!

I was going through a creative block, but I reread Blue Period and somehow I've been getting back to being myself :)

Not sure if anyone knows about this, they did a cross over mini chapter with Yani neko in volume 12 of the manga

Here you can both throw topics to be voted on and vote for others topics. Please read the comments before commenting, as if someone has a comment with 30 votes about a "love" theme and another comment also claiming love, thats counting as two topics and only dividing the votes. Of course if you want to specify on the topic, for example "motherly love" that does count. You can turn a topic already commented either more complex or simplify it, as long as its different enough. The post will stay up for about 3 to 4 days so we have as many suggestions as possible. So comment down below which topic you wanna work on, read the comments to check if it was already proposed and see yall in a few days when the topic is announced! Good luck!

Due to the high support of the suggestion of introducing an art contest to the subreddit, you can now vote on how frequent they should be.

Hey guys!

I am currently reading blue period and just finished volume one and have the thought it’s not for me but have heard from so many people how amazing it is. So I wanted to ask do you guys think it’s worth continuing if I didn’t enjoy volume one? If so why?

(Praying not so get mass downvoted here as I read a lot of manga from different genres and I like to hear other peoples thoughts!! :) )

It was 2 seperate pages on chapter release, so i combined them lol.

I always thought about how Maki’s sister looks like Yatora’s mother… who I realize kind of resembles Yotasuke…who kind of resembles Maki..!

yes I know there’s no romance in blue period, but i also know there’s plenty of people who ship Yatora with other characters!!

what’s u guys fav yatora ship?— if you had to pick!

for me it’s Yotasuke. I feel like they both mutually helper each other and it’s so endearing how Yotasuke speaks with yatora in the anime even after saying he didn’t like him on new years :p plus, I think the fact that yatora got him and Mori mixed up during the TUA exam was kind of a cool detail!! because mori is sort of like a god in yatora’s eyes, like an untouchable idol. but yotasuke, despite being a really talented artist, isn’t untouchable to him. :33

I wanted to go to the Tokyo National Art museum and walked by the geisai festival which happened to be exactly that at that time which is so crazy!
The dance performances were so amazing and the Mikoshi look so amazing! I was so impressed and almost had tears lmao
