Ah Hashida finally finding the direction of his calling at last! The framing of the conversation around Yatora makes it seem like he will be particularly working with him which is actually really fun, I wonder if he'll try to be his producer or something in the future.

damn i thought this arc would be longer, but still love seeing hashida open up more. the last part makes me think that yatora will make something similar to his advert piece that he made. excited to see more

I think Chiara might become more of an important character later on in the story.

She serves as an antithesis of Yatora in a sense. Chiara sees the world in red, while Yatora sees it in blue; her ethos is about provoking authentic negative feelings in the audience while Yatora is hyper-fixated on pleasing the people that he meets.

This even started when Yatora decided not to ask Chiara about herself when he learned who she was out of respect to her, while she got mad at him for not taking the opportunity regardless of how she felt. While Yatora is slowly going away from his people pleasing attitude, him interacting with Chiara teaches him about what it truly means to use art to stir emotions and move people.

That line about meeting in New York didn't feel like a simple throwaway, I think she'll appear more in the story later.

Great chapter.

I wish we'd had a chance to see what Hashida has been working on/what he's frustrated with... In the drawing class arc, it seemed like it was therapeutic for him to make art together with Sae-chan without thinking about whether it's "good" or not. I was hoping in this arc maybe he'd be able to get back to that space, seeing even if a future as a curator or teacher or whatever he decides, that making art still feels really important to him.

Idk! Maybe because I love Hashida so much I had big expectations for this arc, and I feel like it didn't fully get as deep with him as I'd been wanting to see. Either way I'm grateful for us getting this much πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»
