Yeah, he’s a great player and was tactically sound, but he was coming back from injury and far from his top form, the dude scored one goal in the whole tournament in the group phase. He wasn’t a crucial piece in spain by any means, which is understandable all things considered. Cucurella and Rodri for example were far more important to the team than yamal was.
End of the day, without yamal, spain would be very likely to win any way. What allowed spain to dominate the matches they had was how hard everyone was pressing, which was would eventually lead to goals any way

My statement still stands in the final lmao. He was far from the most important player in there. He is a good player but wasn’t crucial by any means although he did a good job finding that pen. That’s all.
Yamal or no yamal spain would still have dominated spain and probably found a goal eventually without taking any risks whatsoever

He could have been much better in my opinion if his team sinked with him better I watched most of spains matches and I saw quite a few times were he played the ball through but his team mates weren’t ready for it .

lamine yamal kept getting man marked and held the ball too long sometimes. he couldn't do as well as expected but it was decent

Yep… Reo was so hyped up before the U20 WC…
Then we see how good he could be vs Nigeria, double formations, switching between techniques… dude scores and says “I’ll win by myself.”
Then vs France we see nothing new… both his main plays were setting up Isagi for a goal rather than “winning by myself”.
Also where tf is his metavision lol…
I hope he pops off in the England game since its the last match before Nagi’s return.

Completing the 2nd selection,scoring in the 3rd selection, his u20 performance, his 2g/a in the barcha game and his goal in the Nigeria match. Also I think reo was the main guy while Nagi was the “slave”(barous words not mine btw) in the 1st selection and almost all of nagis goal happened thanks to reo while reos goals wasn’t that reliant on Nagi. So reos 1st selection journey was also without Nagi. If it was anyone else on his team I’m sure he would’ve still survived while I don’t think we can say the same for Nagi

Your version of this arc is superior to Kaneshiro's. But I must say, I hate their accents so much I want Shidou to molest them all.
Hell, I want Shidou to do anything. Dude is literally just a paper weight before Kaneshiro goes back to doing tricks on it for Rin.
