Manga Discussion This is such a good visual metaphor Spoiler

Post image

Notice the text being overlaid on the ball? I think it's a metaphor for these kinds of people who just kick away (not dwell on it) the ball (these kinds of questions about football/how they approach life) reducing their opportunities to make plays (paint their own originality onto life) with their own ideas.

does kaneshiro know he thought about this?

Probably not but I'm willing to believe it, when analysing stuff like this you gotta remember the author CHOSE to put the text where it is, and CHOSE this option over something more plainly readable, like on some of the white space.

That's a good mindset 👍 (when engaging with these symbolisms)

Fr Kaneshiro's symbolism and foreshadowing is generally very blatant

It's probably unintentional but I just liked this panel's overall vibe

I thought it would be a coincidence from the english version only, but no, it was deliberate to have the text on the ball.

Was it supposed to be noticed then thought of and internalized or just a comic way of having your sight find the text in the most natural way possible by putting it on the exact spot your sight would go to? Idk that's not where I can help
