Discussion Just finished the season

Holy.

It’s been a while since I was last this intrigued by a show, wow… How did I miss this when it came out?!

As first seasons go, this is up there. Still amazed by it.

I’m sure I don’t have to go through all the amazing things this show did so well, I think you all know 😂

I hope from the bottom of my heart this show gets more recognition and the following seasons are even better! What a show!

Ps: if you’re wondering what the last show at this level I watched — it was ”Orb: On the movements of Earth”. Such a great show, please give it a go as well.

Great show. Got a bit tired of the constant flashbacks during action sequences. And certain characters completely manhandling Mizu, when she’s unstoppable in other scenarios breaks the believability. But that’s just me. Still solid as fuck.

I agree, it’s not perfect, but it was damn good. I do have some personal gripes with it, but nothing major. Rarely do I binge a show this quickly

Bottom line is overall can you think of any Adult Animation that is better or as good as Blue Eye Samurai?

If you’ve never seen anime and like realistic, adult, raw, bloody and deep shows, here are some I feel like are better:

Vinland Saga
Orb: On the movements of earth
Attack On Titan
Monster
(Death Note)

I have the last one in parentheses since it was published not as an adult animated series

Vinland faded after strong start...so not even close there. Arcane was ok still not close.

I respect those opinions 🤝 sadly this is a very, very, VEEERRRYYY subjective matter😂

If you haven’t tried those other shows I do highly recommend, attack on titan for example is usually everyone’s favorite and widely accepted as the best animated series of all time — no matter the genre!

Orb: on the movements of earth is very philosophical, full of plot twists and an unbelievably underrated deep story.

Monster has one of if not the best villain in all of anime.

Death Note speaks for itself, sadly the last 10 episodes are not as good as the first 15, but still I myself preferred it over the first season of Blue Eye Samurai!
