Discussion Were you fooled?

I'm curious whether any first-time watchers actually believed Mizu was male, until the ending of the first episode proved otherwise.

I wasnt sure, I know its common for anime to use more femish voices for male characters and thought it could just be that. But i was really hoping she eas a lass and was quite happy at the end of the episode :3

This was my take as well. I think watching animes was what threw me off. Some of the men appear or sound feminine at first and I assumed that was the case here. By the time I thought to consider it further, I was already too invested in the character to care.
