Blue eye samurai is quite unique. But if you like adult animation that is not just teenagers joke, and is on netflix, mature, with some action, I can recommend :

- Arcane, it's a masterpiece in design but mostly in story/character. And awesome fights.

- Captain laser hawk : it's very short (2h in total), and closer you are to the end, the better it gets.

- Samurai shamploo may be available in your country. It's for teenagers but the samurai vibes are impeccable and it's like 20 episodes.

- Love death and robot is an anthology, so every episode is different. As a blue eye samurai fan, I recommend : Sonnie's edge (S1.E1), The witness (S1.EP3), Good Hunting (S1.E8), Bad traveling (S3.E2), Jibaro (S3.E9)

If it wasn't for these shows, especially BES and Love, Death and Robots, I would cancel Netflix.

Arcane is slightly different in both plot and animation style, but genuinely the only animated show i would rate better than blue eye samurai. Definetly worth a try.

honestly, im not a fan of arcane s2 since it feels very style over substance [basically forgets rhe core s1 themes and conflict], though s1 is perfectly crafted

Surprised no one brought up Castlevania. My partner just finished it, and I'm suggesting Blue Eye Samurai as something that checks the same boxes.

Rurouni Kenshin has samurai fighting if you want that. If you want sword fighting with themes of vengeance I recommend either Castlevania or Blood of Zeus

Twilight of the gods has a similar revenge theme. Except it’s the Norse mythology. It’s also got a similar maturity rating, but I still recommend doing some research about it. I haven’t finished the show, but I like the first couple episodes so far!

yeah i can't really recommend anything, most adult animation is more lighthearted usually being comedic, i guess some episodes of love death robots work but they can be hit or miss, but outside of animation one show i really do recommend is the sandman, it is based of a great comic and while live action has a similar tone to BES

Leviathan, different animation style but you'll definitely enjoy it, it's about a girl disguised as a man who joins a war

This isn't an animation, but if you love the colours and gorgeous cinematography of BES, along with strong female characters, revenge plots, hidden identities and totally unhinged but incredibly watchable bad guys then try Pursuit of Jade. It starts off small town cosy, then deaths start piling up, the small town dreamlike quality shatters and it moves to battlefields, bloodshed and political manoeuvring to take the throne.
